Aquaflora Landscapes

Tom is an absolute pleasure to be around - he's always happy, he's trustworthy, conscientious and a problem solver. We wanted a natural looking stream in a sloped section of our garden and he's created just that with added waterfalls and a bubbling rock. It's better than we could have hoped for, and honestly, it was just lovely to have Tom around each day he was here. Couldn't recommend him enough.

First: Tom arrived to see the work we wanted and to send a quote which came within 24 hoyrs all well laid out. Between then and doing the work (3 x 2 metre wildlife pond) he answered emails promptly with queries I had. He came to build the pond when he said he would and we are thrilled with it - way better than we were expecting. No hesitation in recommending Tom.

In January 2021 Mr. Tom Shadwell of Aquaflora Landscapes Ltd. Completed the re-construction and re-lining of a raised deep former fishpond, transforming it into a pond to attract wildlife. This involved over a fortnight’s work altogether, and we are very pleased with the results, including the installation of a safety grid to prevent children falling in (a ‘Safagrid’). Tom finished the job on time and on budget, working till it was dark. He is a very reliable, tidy and considerate worker, who kept us in touch with his plans. He was careful to protect the existing wildlife, and to consult us whenever decisions were needed about choice and colour of brick and other matters. As well as undertaking the construction and manual side of the scheme, he was able to give knowledgeable advice about choosing and obtaining suitable plants and accessories. Our rejuvenated pond for wildlife is an excellent feature now in our garden, and we warmly recommend Tom to anyone wanting to undertake any aquatic works or planting schemes. .

We had a new liner fitted and Tom remodelled the area. It is absolutely brillliant and we could not be more pleased. He is a very hard worker always smiling and the best workman we have ever employed. Highly recommended. Well done Tom.

Excessive weed was removed from my three ponds which are on different levels but linked by submerged pumps that constantly circulate water via two waterfalls. One pump was cleaned, checked, and put back into service. Two other pumps were found to be worn out after many years of use so were replaced by new ones. Two large pond water filters were also cleaned out and new nets were stretched on frames above the ponds to deter predators. Mr Shadwell is a very pleasant and cheerful hard worker. He did a excellent job on the ponds and I have great pleasure in recommending his services to anyone with an aquatic feature that needs attention, maintenance, or even as a new construction.

Aquaflora carried out a full pond installation and some garden landscaping at the rear of my property which also included the removal of an old grass lawn and the laying of an artificial grass lawn. This was bordered by a raised plant bed lined with feature rocks and bark covering. Some old garden features with accumulated odds and sods were dismantled and removed complete with a bit of tree-lopping. From start to finish Tom was friendly, approachable and meticulous, applying attention to detail right down to the choice of plants for both the pond and garden. In consultation with me he expanded upon my original remit and the final results were better than I could have imagined. It’s quite a small garden with no digger access so the pond had to be completely hand dug which wasn’t an issue and demonstrates no job is too difficult or too small for them. Pond was equipped with liner, pump, filter and nicely rounded off with LED nightlights, I highly recommend Aquaflora and will not hesitate in using their services again. The fish seem to like it as well.

I moved into a house that already had a pond full of fish. Tom from Aquaflora Landscapes has helped me with my journey of learning to looking after fish and maintaining a healthy pond. I got these guys to come and clean an old leaking pond in one of my properties. The work they did transformed the garden form a tired damp corner into a tranquil place to relax in. They repaired the liner and cleaned the pond in less than a day and even found some forgotten about fish. Their service is great value and they are hard working friendly guys.

Tom designed and installed the most fabulous double waterfall in our garden. He put lights in the pond and on the waterfall and it looks spectacular.
