Lee is very knowledgeable about all things Mac. He helped us find photos that were lost on an old storage drive; sorted out storage of old files; fixed issues with email; advised on security and backup; He also gave us some good restaurant tips. Would definitely recommend.

My five-year-old iMac had given me no problems until I updated to macOS Tahoe. Suddenly, my iMac hard drive was rapidly filling up, and my 4TB LaCie external hard drive was soon completely full. I thought the problem was with the three-year-old LaCie so I replaced it only for the new LaCie to have exactly the same problem. I tried to do some research on my own without success, and decided to see if Lee Jones might be able to help because I was impressed with his website–especially with the recommendations. He made the 40-mile drive to see me within a few days. From the moment he arrived, he was all business. He and his AI “friend” had already done considerable research based on my description of the problem. For almost three hours without a break, he animatedly worked with ChatGBT to attack the problem. (It seems that some Apple widgets that were on the iMac conflicted with Tahoe. ) I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone concentrate with the intensity that Lee displayed. He took the computer’s misbehaviour as almost a personal affront. In short, Lee solved the problem, and I hope to have this iMac for a few more years. Finding experts on Macs in rural Herefordshire is not easy. I wanted to purchase a new Mac, printer, additional screens and a backup for the business. Lee advised on all this and came to site to install. Whilst there were a couple of unforeseen issues Lee solved everything and I am very pleased and everything is working. As I was experiencing serious problems with an IMAC computer and knowing there is no company near where I live able to repair this type of computer, I was very pleased to find Lee's website. Having sent him all the information relating to the problem and explained that I lived a considerable distance from his base address, it was a great relief when Lee confirmed he was willing to make the journey and deal with the problems. On his first visit, Lee faced considerable difficulties removing the screen from the IMAC due to the glue being used during a previous repair instead of tape. I was very impressed by the in-depth diagnostic processes Lee used to identify the source of the problem and propose a course of action to effect repairs. Due to the need to order and obtain parts, Lee made a second visit and, after following time-consuming procedures, completed the repair of the IMAC and installed an SSD in my MacBook Pro. Lee has a great personality, is very polite, very competent and has a wealth of very specialised knowledge of Apple computers. He will be the person I call if I want help with my Apple IT. .

Phoned Lee with laptop problem and amazingly he was with me in less than two hours. Fast and assured with the tech and very friendly and informative. Thoroughly recommend Lee for any problems you may have with your Mac.

Apple Mac Mechanic (Lee) came to our house and successfully diagnosed and repaired my Late 2013 27-inch iMac. I was particularly impressed that he made house calls. After ruling out many potential causes, he diagnosed the problem as a failed hard drive. He then proceeded to crack open the iMac and replace the original hard drive with a modern SSD which he had advised me to purchase from Amazon before his visit. Next he installed the latest MacOS which this old iMac supports (Catalina) and checked that everything was working satisfactorily. The service call took about 1 1/2 hours which I felt was quick. Lee was very competent and pleasant to work with. Apple Mac Mechanics charges were very reasonable and in line with what I was advised before the visit. Having retired and a few years ago got rid of all my Windows machines I acquired a MacBook lite. I had downloaded everything (all over the place! ) to an external hard drive but was unable to access it and manipulate it with the Mac. Lee came to my rescue and with a new 512 SSD was able to get everything onto the Mac and have the external drive as backup. Along the way to sorting all this Lee extended my knowledge of and ability to use my Mac. So a great job done Lee thank you very much.

Lee was able to diagnose the issue with my faulty laptop very quickly over the phone. He then sent me the details of the hardware I needed to purchase and arranged a time to install it. Great communication throughout the whole process and a very reasonably priced service. Highly recommended.

Lee is a wonder of the virtual universe. Dyed-in-the-wool longtime Macman is just what you need if you're going to get the most out of that Apple gear that you bought into: the ethos, the intuition and the marketing calling card cool style and intellectual provenance… But then forswore to get any Training beyond the shortcut key strokes (command Z mostly) and Time Machine security blanket. , Until. Until it becomes constipated with 50,000 photos and a need to review the nearly 40 years of their collection ( Mac SE in 1988, with a dial-up modem). My point is that although I only use 5% of the functionality of any and every application or is it software, the value of Lee is he lives and understands the evolution of the Mac from first principles. The extraordinary part of Lee's 20 years unorthodox non-conformity is that he brings back to earth the virtul fears of one's data, to the reality that with all the back-ups, firey walls and insecurities in this world, its actually the dog-eared photo that falls out of the recipe book from 1982, that holds the memory. Mostly a philosophical surgery session, with cropping of the ingrowing toe-nails, (or is that thumb nails) …Normality is a social construct and decdedly NOT what you need from a Mac doctor physician. Thanks to Lee, it's like having a new Mac again. My 2019 Imac had become pitifully slow. Fortunately, I discovered Lee online and contacted him by email. He quickly responded and explained what my problem was and what I would need to fix it. He even provided links to the spares I required. Once I had them, he came to my house and expertly replaced the worn parts and left me with a new Mac. Lee is a really nice guy who loves everything Mac. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
