I have had back issue for many years but this time muscular, knotted upper and lower making doing gym classes, aerobics, LBT etc painful. Loosening the muscles was Anna's inital aim and never having a sports massage I was a little apprehensive but loosened up they were after the 1st session so a great job. After another two sessions all tightness completely gone so fantastic. Anna also helped with problems I had just learned to live with from previous back issues e. G. Improved posture to reduce the likelihood of this re-occuring. Overall, very impressed and I would certainly recommend Anna who's also so friendly and help me feel very much at ease each time.
Anna has an uncanny knack for finding the part that hurts most! She is able to work miracles with tight muscles and sore joints and will happily research the latest wisdom to help solve any body related issue. She is very knowledgeable but also relaxed, friendly and easy to chat to, I can highly recommend her massage sessions.
I have had a back problem for a number of years and began Pilates exercises some 4 years ago which resulted in some minor improvement and relief. Two years ago I joined Anna's challenging Mens' Pilates class which is mainly focussed on improving balance, flexibility and core strength. Since then I have not looked back and am now able to pursue a far more active lifestyle and enjoy a quality of life that I previously thought was unachievable. Anna is professional and knowledgeable and conducts her classes in a fun and friendly way. She does a great sports massage too. I am very happy to recommend her.
I was recovering from some deficits in motor functioning and localised inflammation, and had been around (several times)the NHS without any real progress being made. Anna's holistic approach to sports massage and exercises changed all that in a very short period of time. As far as I am concerned she is above all a 'miracle worker', who has given me my life back. She is professional and very obviously knowledgeable. Her open and friendly disposition ensure that you feel relaxed, and supported. Even outside of the sessions I had with Anna, she would send me links that she had come across that she thought I might find interesting or helpful. It is the little touches like this, that make you feel she has listened to you (an under-rated skill), and is very aware of your needs. I really can't sing her praises enough. I came to see Anna for a sports massage as I am running a marathon soon and had aches and pains in my left leg. Anna’s massage was exceptional and I feel so much better for it. She also took her time to explain the muscles in my legs and showed me how to stretch them properly. I would highly recommend Anna as she is friendly and easy going as well as very knowledgeable in her field.
In the autumn last year, following a spell in hospital, I decided that I should improve my level of fitness and lose some weight (this was also endorsed by my Doctor). It was recommended that I try a personal trainer to achieve my objectives and this approach suited me as I was not keen on the idea of a crowded gym. At aged 54 and with little experience of this sort of approach I started this training with some trepidation and selected Anna Payne from her website. My worries were quickly dispelled by Anna's friendly and very professional approach to our schedule, which she devised, based on my specific requirements. Since this time I have learned a lot about exercise, particularly pilates, and I feel I have made real progress with my new regime. Anna has proved a great motivator and I have looked forward to our sessions. Through our regular reviews I can confirm that I have met most of my targets, including weight loss. I started with Anna a little over six weeks ago as I wanted to dramatically improve my fitness, lose weight and tone up, and I thought a Personal Trainer would be the best way forward for me to achieve my goals. Having just had my 6 week review I can say with complete confidence that I am totally happy with the improvement in all areas already. Our sessions are enjoyable (is it wrong of me to use the word fun! ) and Anna always makes me feel confident and able to do what is needed. I will be continuing to stay with her for the very forseeable future.
Having quit playing competitive sport 5 years ago (rugby) I had let myself get pretty badly out of shape and I decided that I needed to do something about it. I decided to look for a personal trainer who knew their stuff. Would motivate and challenge me. One that would set realistic goals and plan enjoyable training programs. Finally, someone who you did not want to let down. In Anna Payne I have found the personal trainer who meets all these goals. I have thoroughly enjoyed programme so far and I have really felt the benefits including weight loss and a noticeable increase in energy levels. I plan to continue using Anna for the foreseeable future.
Anna is the real deal. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, straightforward. She has an uncanny knack of knowing exactly what's needed. I wanted to build new good habits to support my mountain biking addiction and I'm well on the way to being kinder to my back and knees. Recommended in every way!
This was one of the best sports massages that I have ever had. Especially the gluts massage. I didn't feel like anything was rushed and she took her time and made sure she targeted the areas that I said were bothering me. The other great thing was, that the pressure she used was just right.
Anna was recommended to me by a friend who had previously received treatment from her. I had a muscular injury which had prevented me from using weights in the gym for some time. I have been sceptical of sports therapists in the past but thought I'd give it a go as I was keen to get back to training as soon as possible. I found Anna to be thoroughly professional and knowledgeable in her field, diagnosing the problem quickly and applying a deep tissue massage to the affected area. Anna also provided guidance on how to avoid repetition of the injury, warning of exercises to be avoided and suggesting ones which can achieve the same results without risking a repeat injury. Within 2 sessions my injury had eased considerably and following a third I am back in the gym confident in the arm once again. I would recommend Anna to anyone who needs fast, effective and reasonably priced treatment for sports related injuries.
Anna's professionalism and knowledge of her work has been an eye opener for me, her classes are well prepared and instructional, while her studio provides space and privacy. Thanks to her hard work and dedication I learnt to love Pilate's also offered me a sports massage, which I'm about to book. I strongly recommend Anna Payne.
I highly recommend Anna. Her sports massage skills are second to none and she is extremely knowledgable about injuries, muscles and anatomy. I've suffered with shoulder pain for years and meeting Anna was a breath of fresh air. She takes a holistic approach and out of all the professionals I've seen, was the first to identify an issue with my hip alignment and explain how weak muscles elsewhere are contributing to my problems. She has given me lots of advice and a program of simple exercises to address these problems. Anna is a total professional and is very approachable, supportive and genuinely cares about her clients. As well as her treatments, Anna's enthusiasm and encouragement have given me a real boost. My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner.
I have had a number of excellent sports massages by Anna, and done a couple of sessions of personal training with her which has helped my squash. Her detailed in-depth knowledge of anatomy and musculature informs her excellent work, and she did a great job of teaching me prevention exercises and strategies for improvement for longer term benefit. I would recommend her services to anyone who enjoys having a body that works as it should. And does not want to put up with injuries which may turn chronic.
Anna is knowledgeable, excellent at what she does and is very supportive and friendly whilst being professional at all times. She has given me sports massage, personal training and advice over an ongoing period, all of which have been to the highest standard. Thoroughly recommended.
As an aging cyclist/runner over the years I have picked up my fair share of injuries and have found that when I increase my training intensity a sports massage can really help bring some flexibility back into my stiff limbs. Also I am not sure if its just psychological or physical, probably both but it definitely helps my general performance. Anna has really helped particularly with added advice and guidance to improve my stretching and post training regime. I am happy to recommend Anna for all wishing to get more out of there sport/exercise and look after themselves.
I didn't have a sports injury but went to Anna for massage on my back and hamstrings. She identified that I did indeed have some tissue damage and that my hip alignment was out! I had several massage sessions and followed Anna's excercise recommendations (very easy and can be done at home! ). A very enjoyable experience, Anna is very approachable and an asset to her proffession. I would recommend Anna for massage regardless whether or not you think you have an injury. .
After only a few sessions with Anna she has worked magic on my back with trigger point massage. For the first time in 9 years I do not need a pillow to support my arm at night and my back no longer causes me pain when I lie down. Anna is very skilled and quickly picks out problem areas to work on. I can highly recommend her excellent massage to help relieve pain and improve well-being.
I have found the service provided by Anna has greatly improved my well being. Travelling a lot overseas i found that i was very tired and generally suffering with inflamed joints and stiffness. The regular sessions with Anna has greatly improved my movement and as a direct result my energy levels have improved.
