About Animal Behaviour Clinic & Take the Lead Dog School
Established in 2000, Animal Behaviour Clinic and Take the Lead Dog School has many years experience and provides bespoke behaviour and training packages for a variety of species; dogs, cats and parrots. The company is situated in Glasgow and Scotland- although will consider working with pet owners throughout the UK.
We offer bespoke behaviour and training packages for our clients to include both puppies/kittens, adult dogs, cats or parrots. In addition we offer behavioural assessments and Expert Witness reports for legal cases- both civil and criminal. Pet insurance, when it covers "behaviour" may pay for the cost of a behavioural consultation.
The principal behaviourist and trainer is Elaine Henley, who holds a post-graduate degree (P. G. Dip) in Companion Animal Behavioural Counselling- from the University of Southampton, and is a Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) and registered with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC), as well as being a Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC).
When clients use their pet insurance to ask for reimbursement for behaviour modification, it is usual for insurance companies to insist that they have worked with the following practitioners:
Certified Animal Behaviourist (CCAB).
A member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC).
A member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA).
Or, a vet.
Elaine is a Full Member of the APBC and therefore registered as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) with the ABTC having attained a PG Dip in Clinical Animal Behaviour and having been fully assessed.
