Angela Cope Piano Tuition

My son has been taking piano lessons with Angela for the past three years, and he has had grade 5 distinction today. We truly couldn’t ask for a better teacher. She is exceptionally kind, patient and knowledgeable, creating an environment where my son feels encouraged and confident. Her gentle approach and clear instruction have helped him grow not only in his technical skills but also in his love for music. We feel incredibly fortunate to have her as our piano teacher and highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality music instruction.

Angela is an excellent piano teacher. She has taught my daughter for over a year now. She has been very kind and patient with her, working to her ability whilst gently pushing her to improve. I've noticed a tremendous progress in my daughter's confidence and skill when playing and reading music. She just took her ABRSM Grade 4 exam and earned her first Distinction. However, Angela does not only teach her exam pieces, but also pieces that she likes, which makes everyday practice all the more enjoyable. Angela offers very clear instructions during every lesson and for at-home-practice. She always answers any of my questions/emails very promptly. Angela has been teaching my son since he was young. She has been a tremendously good piano teacher over the years - perfectly attuned to my son's idiosyncracies and able to truly get the best out of him, correcting the minutiae that make all the difference. She is very knowledgeable and a highly skilled musician and there is something quite magical in how she passes on her skill and expertise. Patience, precision and a wonderful empathy with the young learner in the way she communicates. She has taken my son from Prep test to now doing Grade 6. We are very happy with her and would highly recommend her. An absolute gem of a teacher!

Angela is a superb piano teacher. She really looks into details and emphases on skills and expressions of the music. My son skipped the few initial grades in the first couple of years of learning with her, but then consistently got Distinctions in grade 3 up to grade 5. He has been learning with Angela for nearly five years, and is now proceeding to grade 6. Perfect pace isn’t it? .

Angela has been tutoring our son and daughter for 5 and 1. 5 years from level 0. Both children have been enjoying their lessons. Angela emphasized on building a solid foundation from the start and she didn't rush the student for grades. She taught theory in line with the practical while other teachers often neglect the theory, particularly for young students. This proved to be very successful on our son, who has achieved distinctions in all his ABRSM exams. In 2023, 11+ entry, he was elected as the top music scholar by two distinguish schools, RGS and KCS. We are thrilled by his achievement and no doubt, Angela's effort is indispensable. Mrs Cope has taught our son for the past five years since he was three. She's amazing! Very patient, encouraging and gets the best out of her pupils with lots of praise. We are on Grade 2 with her. We really appreciate having such a good piano teacher. She's a Merit/Distinction lady. She works you hard but the results are worth it.

Angela is a wonderful teacher. My granddaughter started piano lessons less than a year ago and in November achieved her Grade 1 with distinction. She always looks forward to her lessons, has gained so much confidence and loves to play in front of an audience. At the beginning of the year after only a few weeks of lessons she played a little piece at The Woking Pianothon for Woking Hospice and just recently played carols at a Cubs talent show. Thank you Angela for all your help and guidance in helping my granddaughter to have achieved so much in such a short time. She is thoroughly looking forward to next term and her Grade 2. (22/12/16).

Angela Cope is simply a fantastic piano teacher! Before meeting Angela, I only had a few months of piano lessons prior so was basically a complete beginner. I immediately I noticed a difference once starting, and within 6 months with Angela, I earned a Distinction in my Grade 2 piano exam! Very pleased indeed, I couldn't have achieved it without Angela, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Mrs Cope as a teacher! (On a side note, Angela is also a very talented composer, and happens to have the cutest dog in the world - Sparky! ).

Ms. Cope has been instrumental in tutoring my daughter to achieve her grade five in piano with flying colours. My daughter continues to feel energised and excited about piano as she continues with grade six. I have been learning piano from Mrs Cope's wonderful teaching for about 5 - 6 years now. She is a very patient and committed teacher, and through her efforts I recently achieved Grade 6 distinction! Mrs Cope allowed me to learn pieces at my own pace, making sure pieces have been learnt thoroughly and precisely; which is essential for learning a piece (on any instrument for that matter! ). She is very experienced and can adapt her lessons to any age or level of experience. I particularly enjoy the mixture of fun and learning Mrs Cope incorporates into her lessons. I have also studied music theory under her tutoring too, in which I recently passed Grade 5, with a couple of marks off distinction.
