I had problems with my Marshall dsl 100 blowing fuses and a reputable guitar store returned my amp having found no faults but still charged £70. When my amp blew another fuse I was a little wary of handing it over to another repair specialist but was given some confidence by the friendly but professional manner of Ampworks phone manner. I handed over my amp and after a thorough chat regarding symptoms I felt confident in leaving my Marshall in the hands of someone who showed a genuine interest in actually fixing my amp. I received an e mail from Ampworks telling me exactly what diagnostic testing was to be carried out and assured of costs from the offset. Once the fault was found I was quoted the full costing inc parts and labour and asked if I wanted to go ahead with the repairs. Valve amps are notorious for being tricky to diagnose and costs can escalate quickly in the wrong hands. Ampworks is a one man show but you will receive an honest, friendly and professional service and not be given false promises. In my case the final costs were a pleasant surprise and exactly as quoted. I now have a fully functional Amp again and would recommend Ampworks to anyone who have problems with their guitar amplification.Moreexpand_more
