The job was the installation of a gas fire and an new marble surround into an existing building of some architectural merit. It was a straight forward job, but Alan and his young team worked efficiently and extremely competently to produce an excellent finished product. As an architect, I am finding it increasingly difficult to find trades people who can carry out small works, so I was very pleased with AM Chimneys for their workmanship and professionalism. Very highly recommended.

Existing fireplace was removed and chimney flue inspected for stove options. Due to the strange nature of chimney flue, best solutions were offered. Fireplace was rebuilt to accomodate rear exit stove. Slate hearth and new stove fitted. They were very helpful, explaining all of the possibilities for our fireplace and answering many questions. They were prompt, professional, trustworthy and cleaned up after themselves. They have delivered a fantastic finished result that we are extremely happy with. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone who is interested in fitting a stove into their property.

I told them what I wanted and that's what I got, as apposed to others who wanted to install burner a different way charging me a lot more money. Alan and Terry installed wood burn today. I searched for ages to find someone to replace our solid fuel fireplace in our Victorian house. I stumbled upon AM Chimneys and I cannot imagine why anyone would ever use anyone else. Alan is clear and straightforward. He seems to me to be a very descent and hard working man Alan has extensive knowledge and explains things clearly. The price is the price - its set and so no chance of being ripped off. Alan supplied and installed two chimney liners and three gas fires for me, at a site that took quite a bit of thinking about to get right. He made some excellent suggestions, completed the work in a professional and tidy way and was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Michelle completes the team, by handling the admin in an efficient and very friendly manner. I unreservedly recommend them.

AM Chimneys agreed to do us a site survey and recommended a free-standing woodburning stove and external chimney as we didn't have one already. We agreed to go ahead and the stove was fitted soon after professionally and efficiently, very friendly service, we are over the moon and can't recommend them highly enough.

After having a number of quotes to install a woodburner through the centre of our house we selected AM Chimneys who showed a good understanding of our requirements and were knowledgeable and informative upon the installation requirements that are necessary. Alan (and Michelle) were great at answering my many queries both before and after installation. The installation itself was carried out professionally and efficiently with minimum disruption. AM Chimneys are different. We found it so hard to get anywhere with lots of stove installers. They expected us to be heating experts and provide lots of detailed information before they would have a proper conversation with us. One call to AM Chimneys and we had their experts to visit us. A cup of tea and a chat was all it took to come up with a great solution for our installation. The quote was competitive and the service great - they did everything they said when they said they would. Oh, and the stove looks fab!

We asked AM Chimneys to take on a custom job: install an electric fireplace in an old, coal-burning basket where there was no existing electric outlet. They did it to perfection. We now have a lovely "fire" in what was an empty, dark hole. Dave Williams.

We had a hearth, stove and chimney installed into a new conservatory by AM Chimneys Ltd. Alan was very friendly and made a few suggestions, (esp. When I said I wanted a fire with twice the output we needed! ),when he came round to survey and quote for the work. He was also happy to install anything we would supply; (in the end we supplied the stove and tiles for the hearth), as long as we checked with him first we were getting the right things. Arranged a date to install and Alan and his mate arrived at around 08:00 and started work immediately, and finished in about six and a half hours. AM Chimneys ltd gave the cheapest quote out of six companies we tried and we're very pleased with the standard of the work done. I have no hesitation in recommending AM Chimneys ltd, (and my wife has already done so). .

They arrived exactly on time, identified the problem, carried out the necessary work and were away within the hour. They were polite, courteous, considerate AND they took off their boots without being asked, which is a first for me.
