Not what I expected in terms of service. Really unprofessional.

Alli J Clothing is a fantastic service from start to finish. Alison is extremely talented and has a wealth of experience behind her. I wouldn't go anywhere else! I took a second hand suit to Alison which was to large, she personally tailored it to myself and it now looks like a £500 suit. I couldn't be happier and the prices for the level of service were more than fair.

Absolutely lovely lady, and so very talented there isn't anyting she can't do I don't think from a basic alteration to making an entire wedding gown. Absolutely recommend her ? ? .

Alison has altered many of my dresses and she is incredible at what she does. Her attention to detail is second to none. My dresses fit me perfectly after she has worked on them.

Alli is brilliant. Having worked in high end bridal shops in London, you know your clothes are in safe hands with Alli. Really professional and helpful; going above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. A lovely human being too so thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her through the excellent service she provided.

I met Alison for the first time a week ago and she is so friendly, efficient and knows her stuff! I have broad shoulders, big breasts and I am short(even in heels) so most of my dresses don’t fit me perfectly, I am in between size 12 and a size 14 depending on where I shop! The dress I fell in love with was too long for me, too long in the middle and it didn’t fit around my shoulders properly. Ali gave me different options on how she could alter the dress, the cheapest way and the bits that would cost extra. The finished product is beautiful and I am so pleased with it! She made sure I was 100% happy with the dress before I left her today. Price wise I feel that she is very fair, I would 100% recommend her to anyone. I couldn’t believe it when she showed me photos of the dress in pieces during the alteration but her response was “I only took it apart because I know I can put it back together! ”. Alli has just adjusted a shift dress, bought for a summer wedding, for me. The results are superb. I'd tried to do it myself and quickly realised the job was too difficult for me. I found her from local recommendations on Facebook and couldn't be happier with the results. I'd happily recommend her to anyone looking for an experienced dressmaker (to make from scratch) or undertake alterations.

Over the past few months Ali has altered 5 bridesmaid dresses, my wedding dress, a wedding guest outfit and is due to alter my husbands jeans this week. Family members have also used her regularly and we wouldn’t use anyone else. Ali does a fabulous job, is very professional and her workmanship is excellent. My wedding dress in particular needed lots of alterations and Ali was able fix everything whilst keeping me calm throughout! She’s very friendly and genuinely cares about giving you a good service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Ali did alterations on my maid of honour dress and the bride's dress which were both to big for us, she did an amazing job and they both looked and fitted perfect for the big day. A lovely lady I would highly recommend.

Alli altered my wedding dress and did an amazing job. She had to take up 6 layers of the dress about 6 inches as I bought a sample; this included an overlay of intricate lace detail and you couldn't even tell it was different it was amazing. She also had to move the boning in my dress and pull the bodice in. My dress fit incredibly well and looked EXACTLY how I wanted it to and I was very high maintainance! Allison is lovely and really friendly and I would highly recommend her to anyone :).

I bought a maxi dress for my wedding in July in Gibraltar (second wedding) which the bottom half of the dress are small box pleats but miles to long for me. I took my dress to Allison to have the length altered and collected my dress yesterday. What an amazing job Allison did, you would never know that I had at least one inch cut off the bottom and the stitching work on the new hem is extremely well done and Allison also re-pressed the pleats on the new hem. I would have no hesitation in recommending Allison for any alterations that you may need. Thank you Allison.

Allison made my wedding dress for me, from scratch, from a gold sequined material. She went above and beyond for me and made me the most amazing dress. It was a show stopper on the day and fitted me perfectly. Allison is a perfectionist - she takes absolute care to ensure that everything is perfect because she knows how important it is. She is also warm, genuine, funny and puts you immediately at ease. She is genuinely interested in you and your life, and her service was impeccable. I will never go anywhere else for my dress-making or alteration needs! She is simply brilliant.

Had a pair of curtains shortened to the desired length. Alison's background in terms of her work will provide you with a quality service and finish. The stitching and needlework looked great and beats buying expensive bespoke made curtains at high street stores and online. Will use Alison again for her services. Very friendly and professional.

This lady is amazing ! My wedding dress was at least 2 sizes too big for me by the time I was ready for my wedding, she literally had to deconstruct and reconstruct the whole dress ! I'm so grateful and so so super happy with it - can't wait to wear it. Thank you Allison, you are one truly talented lady X.
