Alan Brain Art - about the artist.

Alan started to paint over twenty years ago and became professional after leaving his job as a General Manager in an airline. He is devoted to uniqueness in his art and stresses any painting must have an emotional content - you must react to it, connect to it, emotionally. If not you are simply observing a decoration.

His inspirations are threefold -
Firstly anything to do with flying. Alan spent many hours flying for pleasure and teaching people to fly. His experiences manifest themselves in his art and the experience is often uplifting to the viewer.
Secondly his hatred of war in particular it's impact on the soldier. Alan has produced a series of war related paintings that have been exhibited in the U. K. America cand Canada.
And thirdly the joy of living. The wonders of our world are captured in different unexpected ways and are a sight to behold.

Painting, as Alan often says, is a journey of self discovery and he emphasises he has a way to go.

Alan Brain Art - Recognitions.

Alan's paintings have been exhibited with numerous recognised places including -
The American Watercolor Society, Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Watercolour Society.
His work is owned by collectors through Europe the USA and Canada.
Alan explains that his main reward is when a person truly engages with his work.
