Andy has been a great personal trainer for me. We do 2 sessions of HIIT a week and he's alway really attentive to my progress, adjusting and calibrating the sessions to ensure I'm always getting the greatest benefit, even at times when I'm feeling below par. On top of that, he's a really nice, friendly guy, and each session is very enjoyable (even when he's exhausted me ! ). Highly recommended.
Great trainer for kick starting your exercise routine. I very quickly noticed changes to my agility, strength and motivation. Andy is a friendly, encouraging coach with a very disciplined but fun approach. I enjoy the variety of exercises and love seeing my stamina grow and grow. Thanks for all of the encouragement Andy!
I would highly recommend Andy if you are looking to change your lifestyle in a positive and healthy way. I am a busy mum of two, working in a high pressured job and needed to make some well needed changes for the sake of my health. In the six weeks I have trained with Andy I have lost close to a stone and have dramatically changed my relationship with food. Andy is very knowledgeable on all aspects of lifestyle and has given me some great tips on nutrition, training schedules, sleep and work/life balance. I would highly recommend Andy - it’s the best investment I have made in a long while!
Since starting my 121 sessions with Andy I feel educated and confident to make sensible decisions with regards to eating the right foods. I feel motivated to exercise and have formed healthier habits. Overall in my weight loss journey I’ve lost 12kilos. Since using Andy, not once have I been hungry as I previously was. And I’ve lost 6kg of that 12kg since mid January. I’ve toned up, got fitter and feel more energetic and better. Andy is brilliant, very supportive and extremely experienced and knowledgeable. I have perhaps before felt a bit intimidated by the thought of a personal trainer in the past, but my fears were wiped away in the very first session, and I feel as if I owe him a great deal as thanks to his training and positivity I feel confident again! Andy has tailored my sessions to get harder and harder as I get fitter. I really enjoy my sessions and the progression of my fitness journey. I never thought I’d enjoy exercise again but those endorphins are addictive and I’ve formed habits that will last through my 30s, 40s and beyond. I have been working with Andy for over 2 1/2 years now. Since March 2020 this has mainly been online via Zoom. Andy is always friendly and encouraging, and workout sessions always test you whatever your fitness level. Whether online or live in the group, the sessions are varied, fun and NEVER easy. He also offers private support and information, always only a text / message / phone call away if you need advice.
Overweight at 63 and with mild COPD - a lung disease - I knew I had to do something to get fitter, but what? And would any fitness trainers wash their hands of this old wreck? Well, one did - not even a "sorry, I can't help you" response to my email, just blanked me. Andy King, on the other hand, has been encouraging, helpful and informative from the word "go". In 6 weeks he has helped me transform my diet from junk food to sensible and filling high-protein energy-giving foods and made me realise I can cut down on alcohol, chcocolate and cheese by regarding them as occasional treats - not a daily "must have. " As a result, I appreciate them far more now. He's also helped me with breathing techniques so that I walk better, swim further and faster and feel far more energised than I have for years. Have lost over a stone and look and feel slimmer and fitter - and it's not just me; family and friends have remarked on the change. Leaving my gym membership was the best thing I could have done I have been training one to one with Andy for the past 8 weeks and I am a short distance away from reaching my fitness goal. Andy is very professional personable and encouraging look forward to my continued development with Andy.
I have been attending Andy's bootcamp classes since September 2012. Each class begins with interval training along the Folkestone Leas - which certainly blows away the cobwebs - and is followed by indoor circuits. The class sizes are small enough that Andy is able to give 1 to 1 advice if it is needed, and he always motivates you to push yourself as far as you can. His personable style also means that the class isn't intimidating for any newcomers and everyone is always warmly welcomed. This class is a guaranteed endorphin boost!
I have been attending Andy;s Boot camp classes for about 3 months now and throughly enjoy it. He is an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer who gives excellent nutritional advice whilst motivating and supporting throughout the class, also exercising outdoors is very invigorating. It doesn't matter what your level of fitness or ability is, Andy will encourage and push you to do your best - and a bit more. I am now totally hooked and found myself missing the classes over the Christmas break. My fitness level has certainly increased and I can highly recommend Andy's classes.
I've been going to Andy's bootcamp classes for a couple of months now and am really enjoying it. I have a good level of fitness however Andy is really motivational and focuses on High Intensity Impact Training (HIIT), mainly outdoors. Its been great to get up in the morning (Wednesdays at 6am) or head outside after work (Mondays at 7. 30pm) and do a variety of sprints, beach runs, hill runs combined with a variety of other exercises. The hour whizzes by yet you really feel it and the class caters for all levels. I am without doubt fitter and faster since doing these classes, which are excellent value for money.
I have been training with Andy for over 2 years and have never felt fitter. Andy is always on good form and gets you motivated to try your best and then give that little bit extra! As a working mum of 5 kids I never thought I would enjoy exercise as much as I do, I hated it at school as I wasn't any good at it but I'm sure I'm not alone in that. It's great for stress relief and if you were like me and always looked in envy at others wishing that you were brave enough to give it a go, pick up the phone and ring. Don't wait thinking that you will on day. Make that call today! Andy is great no matter how unfit you are he would encourage you to do your best he is normal, he understands that we are not all perfect but he is not soft either! It's about what you get out of it at the end of the day we all know that we should exercise it's just a case of biting the bullet and getting going!
Andy is a fantastic trainer, he motivates you, educates you and works you hard! I attend the 6am bootcamp on Wednesdays at the Grand Hotel in Folkestone, I would strongly reccommend anyone go, with any level of fitness. The bootcamps are mainly set outdoors and incorporate High Intensity Interval Training for a full body workout! Class is welcoming and friendly to newbies! Jess.
Andy is a truely brilliant trainer, gives personal attention to everyone in the class and pushes you at just the right level to get a little more out of you. This is a must attend class for anyone with a desire to get fit, after one class you feel inspired to do more and you use muscles you never knew exsited. I get the most out of the abs exercises and find myself completing them at home some mornings, the outdoor part of the class is first rate especially on the 6am session. Haven't been this fit since being at school. Al.
Wicked. They say no pain no gain and this is what its all about ! If you love exercising and keeping fit then come along to BOOT CAMP ! Love the variety i. E. Outside on the leas and circuit training in side, Andy is very good and keeps you motivated and also helps if you are struggling a bit. JI.
Since leaving the Royal Navy in October 2009, I've been looking for a fitness class that mirrors the professionalism, variety and effectiveness of military circuit training. The boot camp does this and is suitable for people like me, who have let their fitness levels slip! I like the fact that half the class is spent outside whilst muscle groups are targetted and worked on inside afterwards. If you need to start or re-start your fitness regime, this is a really good choice! I always feel energised and upbeat after a class. Chris.
