I had a flat dormer roof replaced by Jamie in 2023. In September 2024 it developed a leak (see picture). Initially Jamie was responsive and came round in October to try to fix the problem. That didn't work, and after that Jamie was no longer responsive. I tried to contact him a dozen times via different methods over two months with no response. The only time he did get back to me was in December when I said I would leave a bad review because he was not honouring his guarantee. However even after saying he would honour it, he again became unresponsive. So now I need to find somebody reliable to fix the problem. I'm disappointed to post this review. I had a roof relacement from this company, with felting, as well as guttering, which was completed to a good standard. Unfortunately the after service was disappointing in that the builder would not discuss a problem that needed fixing as covered in the guarantee. So I had to pay somebody else to fix this.

Jamie and his team replaced the flat roof over our kitchen with fibreglass. We had struggled to find anyone to do the job during the pandemic so we were very grateful he was happy to help. He was friendly with a competitive price and kept us informed every step of the way. The area was also kept very clean and tidy throughout the work. He was able to come and do the job quickly despite minor delays due to poor weather. He was also able to look at another potential issue for me while he was doing this particular job which I really appreciated - he definitely goes above and beyond in his work and clearly has a lot of pride in what he does. Excellent service of a full roof replacement. Jamie kept me up to date along the way and had no issues with him. The weather pushed him behind schedule slightly but he let me know before it happened, which I like. Cant fault him and I've had some shocking trades people in the past. Would highly recommend him and he was surprisingly competitively priced.

Other than some poor communication concerning a delayed start date, the standard of service and quality of work carried out by Afordable Roofing was excellent. Jamie was more creative in coming up with a solution than most of the other companies we had out to survey the job and provided us with a highly competitive quote. His approach of showing and explaining the work whilst it’s in progress and once complete was also highly appreciated. Jamie and Jordan were polite, friendly and courteous and we wouldn’t hesitate to get them round to do further work in future if required.

Jamie replaced my whole roof, fitting new rafters, batten, felt, tiles and lead valley. It was a considerably big task and although it took a bit longer than expected (due to unforeseen circumstances and weather conditions) I was very pleased with the quality of the work. Good quality of customer service and a fair price, I would recommend aFORDable Roofing to anyone in Bristol in need of roof repairs or reconstruction.

Jamie re-tiled my garage roof putting on a new roof membrane and batons and did a great job. I called him on Tuesday and the job was done by the Friday. I would recommend aFordable Roofing if you want a professional job done.

Jamie was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Tendered a very competitive quote and placed emphasis on the quality of materials. Kept in touch throughout and showed great flexibility and determination in dealing with unforeseen issues that emerged. Workmanship of the very highest standards. Site remained tidy throughout the re-roofing process and everything cleared away in good order at the end. Would have no hesitation in using Affordable Roofing again in the future. Jamie went above and beyond to do everything to time and quality.

This was our experience of Affordable Roofing. 1. Jamie was the most interested, enthusiastic and informative when quoting for the Job. 2. His price was the best. Advises to use the best materials available. 3. He always arrived when he said he would, weather permitting. 4. His communication by text and on site was excellent. 5. He cared about not damaging our property or our adjoining neighbours. 6. He cared about the quality of his work, asked us to look at the work and took photographs for us to see. 7. He thought about the job, communicated ideas and adapted plans as issues became evident. We had to coordinate two companies to remove and replace solar PV and Hot water panels, which Jamie worked with and supported. 8. His team were also very good, careful, kept area as clean as possible. Access to power for some music while working and regular drinks help. They took very few breaks in the day. 9. We have ended up with a really excellent job and our new roof is now compliant with the latest building regulations. 10. Although very little if anything went wrong, Jamie was always very concerned, apologised and put it right e.G. A broken tile. 11. When I asked for something to be done, it was e.G. Protecting our new flat roof. 12. Has very good relationship with scaffolding company, with scaffold removed next day after job completed. 13. I am probably not the easiest customer as I am interested, involved and check work. Some teams find this relationship difficult, but in the case of Jamie, seemingly not at all. 14. To give this balance I have tried to think if anything which could have been improved. With regard to the job, very little if anything at all. If you like detailed quotations, ask for it, but with roofing until old roof removed, you cannot always see the extent of the job. However Jamie detailed the possible extra items in the quotation as well as a little extra cost for addition work I requested and agreed to. We had an old barn which needed re roofing of difficult size and Shape. Jamie and his team came when they said they would, put in long hours to get the job finished. We had a few issues which Jamie sorted out for us to our satisfaction. Overall we were pleased with the finished result, and would recommend Affordable Roofing.

Jamie done a fantastic job on are outhouse roof very friendly sevice. Even layed the boys summer house with the left over felt he had on van very good service will recommend the price was brilliant. Explained the hole job along the way no hidden extras nice polite team.

This man fibreglassed my dormer flat roof, it leaked from day one. This man refused to remedy the problem claiming it was not his workmanship at fault. Any guarantee this man gkves you is worthless, he did not belong to the CONFEDERATKON OF BRITISH ROOFERS, as he claimed. His business address is also his fathers address who denies all knowledge of his son when you try to contact him. USE THIS MAN AT YOUR PERIL.

Jamie and his team, are very reliable, hard working and trust worth, they worked on my property fitting a whole new roof while we was away on holiday, we returned to a spotless house, with all works completed on time and for a very competitive price. Highly recommend aFORDable to any one wanting works done.

Jamie came to fix a mysterious leak from my kitchen extension roof. He spent a lot of time considering the problem, on the face of it the roof looked to be in good repair. I am pleased to write that the roof is water tight again. Jamie is a good, professional and reliable man and I have no reserve in my recommending him.
