We researched three possible landscaper / gardeners and had no hesitation in choosing Steve from our first meeting. He put in a reasonable quote, was very flexible and prepared to work with us as we didn’t know exactly what we wanted! He came when stated, kept us informed of timings to expect him and worked incredibly hard - no leaning on a spade. The organisation of necessary skips was seamless and he always left the area clean at the end of the day. The extended patio looks lovely, the shed base matches it and the rebuilt wall matches in perfectly. We had allowed the garden to be very over stocked and Steve dug out what we wanted to lose, planted things to be retained, added organic material to enrich the soil and then topsoil. For the first time ever I can dig holes for plants in our heavy clay soil with ease. We now await the growth of seeded lawn areas that again were prepared meticulously. Would definitely recommend Steve at Advanscape to landscape your garden. He is a very hard worker and goes beyond what is asked of him. Steve carried out work on our front and rear gardens to give them the facelift they urgently required which was done to perfection. Completed with a proper sweep and pressure wash clean by him, passed our expectations. He provided an excellent service and took pride in his work.

Steve did an outstanding job on creating our two patio areas. He is very knowledgeable and gave us advice on the best way to construct the patio as we have a sloping garden. The weather conditions were very challenging and Steve would only work if the weather suited the task at hand. Would highly recommend for a professional garden project.

From design to completion what a fantastic job, a complete revamp of our front and side garden. Despite the challenging weather which held up proceedings considerably Steve at Advanscape took it all in his stride. His hard work certainly paid off as the results show. We had a rear patio replaced which was too small and was giving us significant drainage issues. Steve has done a really great job despite the weather being against him, it is now bigger, looks fantastic as well as being rock solid in its construction, with all drainage problems addressed properly. I engaged Steve to do a complete makeover on my garden. He removed the existing mature trees and shrubs, lawn, small patio, and about 70 metres of fencing. These were replaced by a new fence with gravel boards, a new large patio by the house and a smaller seating area at the top of the garden, a new path running from the house to the top of the garden, and a new lawn. He also installed a small pond, put coping brickwork on an existing small wall and built up part of the small wall to create a raised bed. He dismantled my log store before the work started and reinstated it at the end. The job took about three months to complete, and the early part of the job was beset by unseasonably wet weather which at times turned the garden into a mud bath. Steve was impressive from start to finish. He turned up and worked in all weathers. His expert knowledge on all aspects of garden landscaping shone through, and I was never in any doubt that he was doing an utterly professional job. He didn’t cut any corners, and his attention to detail was evident throughout. At the end of the job he cleaned the site meticulously, leaving everything cleaner than it had been before he started. Steve is thoroughly professional, reliable and trustworthy, and I can recommend him unreservedly to anyone looking for a garden landscaper. Steve recently helped me to design a brick BBQ. His advice in the planning stage was invaluable, he guided me through the do’s and don’ts to ensure everything was clear before we started and once started the job was completed quickly and smoothly. Its rare these days to find good tradesmen that do what they say will, meet your expectations and in Steve’s case, exceed them. Very happy to recommend Steve to you. .

Steve removed our old patio and replaced with a new patio to our requirements. Added drainage and put in proper drain covers to match the patio. Worked with us to give us what we wanted, how we wanted it. Have asked him to quote some further work for us.

This is the second time that Advanscape have made a garden for us. As before the quality of both the garden design and the work carried out are excellent. There is great attention to detail and Steve provided solutions for our problem areas. It was well worth waiting for a garden we love and can be proud of.

This was the second project Steve has undertaken in the garden. This time he redesigned the curving gravel paths and constructed an attractive blue brick edging. He also reconstructed a paved area to solve a draining problem. I am delighted with the results which have transformed the garden. Steve consistently works to a very high standard, and is excellent at solving problems. Always good humoured and extremely helpful he is sought after and you may have to wait for your job to be done but it’s well worth it.

We had a large area of red clay that needed to be transformed into a garden. Steve designed the garden to be and then worked very hard and methodically to bring it to fruition which took nearly 8 weeks in total ( work was disrupted by the lockdown. ) At the end of each day Steve tidied up and at the end of the work everything was cleaned and left looking spic and span. We are very very pleased with it and would highly recommend Advanscape to anyone.

I didn't know Steve before he did this work for me, so its always a bit of a gamble especially without any recommendation to go on. Now let me give you my recommendation - Steve is one of the nicest blokes I have met, he is very professional and takes a great deal of pride in his work. He came when he said he would, worked his socks off everyday through the pouring rain, cleaned everything up left no mess and the job looks absolutely great. Whats more he charges a fair price for a great job. I would recommend him to anyone and will have him back for the next job without and qualms at all. Thanks Steve - Great job!

A work of art! Once again Steve has completed work on our property (the front this time) and we have been awed by his ability to overcome the difficulties presented by the slope of the land, the uneven garage floor and the sheer incompetence of previous contractors’ efforts. We now have a driveway designed to avoid our cars from grounding as we leave the property and a garage floor even enough to accommodate a new door with a perfect seal. In addition, we have a new wall that no longer rests upon drains and water supply as we discovered that the previous one did and is a work of art with its gently sloping top achieved by cutting dozens of bricks with precision instead of simply resorting to a stepped top. Finally, the lawn which Steve laid is so green that it looks digitally enhanced! The neighbours and numerous delivery drivers have been profuse and unprompted in their praise of his efforts. Perhaps most importantly Steve’s work ethic is that of a consummate professional. He is reliable, meticulous, polite and communicates clearly so that we knew exactly what he was aiming to achieve each day. Once again he has far exceeded our expectations (he re-landscaped the back garden last year to a fantastic standard) and we would not hesitate to recommend his services. Thanks again Steve!.

Steve was tasked with turfing my front lawn. Not an easy job due to the uneven ground, ugly raised manholes and the fact that we were the last houses to be built in the road and it's clear there was dumping of building waste prior to our houses being built. Other issues arose such as concrete running under my lawn from when the road had been laid which Steve had to dig out as well as having to replace the haunch from the edge of my block-paved to ensure turf could be laid correctly. Steve just took these in his stride even though it meant it extended the duration of the work. The end result was excellent! A beautiful even lawn that was now level with my neighbours and Steve had even managed to raise the level enough to make the manholes flush with the lawn. Steve is conscientious and a perfectionist…. Everyone's dream tradesman. He operates his business with honesty and integrity and I would not hesitate to recommend him or have him complete further work for me. Steve has recently completed a 50m2 patio for us, including preparing the ground and re setting manholes. Having had many trades work on our property over the last 12 months I can honestly say that Steve has been fantastic. His attention to detail, courteous nature and methodical approach is exactly what you want when having work done in and around you home. Steve will be returning to carry out further work for us next year and I would certainly recommend him.

Steve has completed a major project for us installing a large patio and levelling the back garden which sloped in two directions. There were several logistical problems but these were overcome with hard work, expertise and perseverance and the end result is exceptional. We cannot praise Steve enough for his attention to detail and professionalism throughout. As a result of bad weather the project took a long time to complete but Steve never cut any corners and worked conscientiously at all times, often until well after dark with the aid of his head torch. We would have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone willing to wait - his order book is well filled which speaks volumes - and we are now pencilled in to have our front garden and driveway upgraded as soon as he is available. If you want your project completed by a polite and trustworthy perfectionist then Steve is your man!
