When I received and read a flyer advertising ballroom and latin dance classes for absolute beginners, which also stated that there was no need to bring a partner, I thought, "This is just what I have been waiting for! " So I immediately booked to go along to classes in Wing to give it a try. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep up with 'rock and roll' lessons as well, (thinking that they might be too fast for me and may be not wise to do, as I had broken a toe and injured one foot last year, which has taken a whole year to heal) but I decided to give that a go as well and make up my mind afterwards. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and lovely smile from Sara and was immediately impressed by the amount I had learnt after my first two hour session. I have now had just five weeks of lessons but, I already realised after three weeks, that I had learnt more than I had at the end of a ten week course of ballroom classes that I had attended some five years ago, elsewhere. I have also been surprised at how much I have enjoyed the rock & roll sessions. They are great for fitness, & my foot has so far held up to two hours of dancing on the trot! Adrian is a great teacher who is always calm, cheerful and humorous, making the whole evening a delightful experience. I cannot fault either Sara or Adrian, and would encourage anyone who would really like to learn how to dance, for whatever occasion or just for fitness, to try here first. You won't be disappointed!I certainly intend to keep going to classes for as long as my feet, legs and brain allow! :-).Moreexpand_more
Three years ago joined dance class to learn rock'n roll and because both Adrian and Sara Marsh are such good teachers have also joined their Ballroom and Latin classes with my partner. I also attend Sara's line dance class. These classes help us to keep fit and we have a great social life. They take time to explain the steps and are willing to go over them until the class get it right!
If you need exercise and don't fancy lycra and weights, try Line Dancing with Adrian at Winslow on a Thursday morning. Guaranteed enjoyment with good company plus a coffee break and chat with other dancers. Give it a go, only 90 minutes out of your day and you will be hooked.
We've been dancing with the Adrian Marsh School of dance for 3. 5 years learning Ballroom and Latin dances. The teaching is of the highest standard and they make it fun to learn in an informal enviroment. They have a lot of patience and are always happy to go at your learning pace and break down routines to allow easy learning. We feel a valued customer, and are never worried about getting it wrong . As our style and technique develops it gives us a feeling of great satisfaction, especially when family and friends are impressed by our dancing skills. Additionally, attending their social dances and weekends away, has allowed us to practice our techniques and has grown our social circle, and we now have many strong friendships through dancing. So if your looking to learn to dance with a company that offers exceptional service, quality and Great value for money, Adrian Marsh School of Dance is for you. However, it does become very addictive. A big thank you to Ade and Sara, as we wouldn't be dancing if it wasn't for them and we are looking forward to many years of dancing ahead of us.Moreexpand_more
My husband and I were 'press-ganged' into learning the Waltz for a friend's wedding. We were pleasantly surprised at the professional standard of tuition and the very friendly teaching style that made us both very comfortable. What was supposed to be an 8 week course and one dance - 3 years on we are dancing ballroom, latin and rock n roll. Our social life has grown enormously and wonderful friendships have been forged with fellow dancers. Our only regret is that we didn't take up dancing earlier. We both love it and will continue to dance whilst we are both fit and able. Thank you Adrian and Sara for your time and patience and keep dancing !
