About Actuality Counselling

My practice, Actuality Counselling, was established in 2001. I offer counselling, coaching and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to individuals and couples within the Merseyside area as well as online. I am also a counselling supervisor.

I am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am on its Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I am also a qualified counselling supervisor. I am fully insured and my work is supervised regularly to ensure that I meet professional standards.

I aim to provide an environment within which you feel safe and can explore whatever issues you bring. I will treat you with respect, will try to understand you and your experiences, will be genuine in our relationship and will not be judgmental.

My experience covers a variety of settings. I worked as a staff counsellor with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister; I am an affiliate counsellor with several Employee Assistance Providers (EAPs) in the UK, providing counselling to the private sector and various Government departments; and I work with young people at the Young Persons Advisory Service in Liverpool (YPAS).

I aim to deliver a professional counselling and coaching service both face-to-face as well as online.

Counselling provides an opportunity for you to talk confidentially about how you are feeling, to become more self-aware, and to work towards a more satisfying and authentic life. For many people, expressing their problems in this kind of a relationship is preferable to talking to friends and family.

Counselling supervision helps both qualified and trainee counsellors to become better-equipped to work effectively and ethically.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) has helped many people to free themselves from deeply-entrenched phobias, emotional distress and physical pain; others have experienced improvements in a wide range of sporting activities.

Coaching offers a thought-provoking and creative relationship that can inspire people to maximise their personal and professional potential.
