Why are the cars not displaying ABC logo. Cars are arriving but you don't know they are taxis. To make matters worse you don't receive a text to say it has arrived do you have no idea if this is a genuine taxi. If they do display a logo it's usually so tiny you wouldn't spot it in dark. This is happening more often now. Also have they started charging more if you pay in cash because I have done the same journey if car is regular taxi displaying logo seem to pay a different price. Lots of new very surly drivers don't want to get out of car to help with bags in boot. It's a shame because ABC were a topclass taxi service under the previous owners. I think I would be reluctant to order a taxi late at night without knowing before you get in it is an actual taxi. Too dangerous in this day and age. .Moreexpand_more
Absolutely shocking. I always book a taxi the day before to take my kids to school the following morning and ever day without fail they are late. Everytime is getting later and later nearly half an hour today! If you can't ensure a taxi to be in time don't expect the booking simple!
I would never recommend this taxi company at all. Booked a taxi over the phone and had to pay upfront. The lady has booked it for different time than requested and when I called to complain I have been told that I need to pay again if I want them to pick me up at the time I wanted to.
This is my local taxi firm, and it has been one myself and people I know have used for years. There have been many instances for a bad review, but this instance takes the cake. Myself and my partner pre-booked a taxi for 1:55pm, to allow for plenty of time for traffic to arrive at a Christening for 2:30pm. Our destination was 15 minutes away. The driver didn’t show up until sometime between 2:10 and 2:15pm. We had to call to find out he would be late because the firm didn’t update us. He didn’t apologise. Grunted a hello and started driving. Fine, as long as we get there ok. He then proceeds to take the longest route possible to get to where we need to be, so that our ETA would now be 2:35pm. He remained silent throughout our journey, but was quite evidently listening to our mutterings about being late, when he dropped his speed to below the speed limit for the final part of our journey. We enquired about having a discounted fare due to the fact he was late picking us up, and due to missing our event. He told us we would have to ask the firm as it isn’t up to him, that’s fine. My partner called them and explained to the operator our situation, and he said he would have to pass us to the supervisor. This woman was the rudest person I have ever encountered and definitely shouldn’t be working in a customer service position. Before my partner had even uttered a word she came on the phone shouting and being rude based entirely on a relayed message from the operator. My partner tried to explain that not only was our driver late for collecting us on a pre-booked ride, but that we were now late for our event. After digging through the foul language and the bad attitude, listening to her shout at her down the phone from arms length, we discovered she couldn’t help us because it was at the drivers discretion to discount us because they have no control over their wages as the drivers are self employed. She wouldn’t tell him, her employee, that he would be losing some of their rides fare due to his own poor time keeping skills - because he is self employed. By a taxi firm, that he works for. If you translate that into layman’s terms, that means he is an employee earning commission from each fare. Not self employed. Either way, the taxi firm seems to have no control over what their drivers do, what time they show up for rides, if they do a good job etc, and nor do they seem to care. The way that woman spoke to myself and my partner today was absolutely disgusting, and I genuinely feel for anybody who has to encounter such a horrible human. The icing on the cake though, was when we arrived at our destination and I noticed that a note had popped up on the drivers device, all in caps stating “ITS NOT OUR FAULT WE’VE GOT NO CARS, EVERYBODY’S TAXIS ARE LATE TODAY!”. - A taxi firm with no cars should not accept bookings, and also, a taxi firm with no cars that accepts any booking is most definitely at fault. As is a taxi firm that knows their customers are going to be late and doesn’t advise them to make alternative arrangements in advance, rather than just showing up when they feel like. It is entirely that taxi firms fault, and it is most definitely the fault of the supervisor on that shift. To speak to customers in that way, with such disrespect and utter contempt… I’m flabbergasted that such a person could be hired at all in a customer facing position - I’m not surprised she’s shoved in an office so people can only face her over the phone. I’ll be using any and all of their competitors from now on, and I’ll implore everybody I know to do the same. Its a shame I can't give them zero stars. They use self employed drivers who take peoples belongings then dont admit to it. Reported as theft to the police but I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I can throw them. 2 occasions this has happened but ace abc take no responsibility as the drivers are "self employed" please dont use this taxi company!
I have used Ace - Abc nearly every day for the last 21 years, had great drivers, excellent service very reliable, very rare ever a problem. Over the last 6 months I have tried at various times during the day to book a taxi but cannot get one for love or money always told 40mins - 1 hour wait. They state they have the most cars in Mansfield on the road well where are they. Even when you pre-book you cant guarantee the taxi will arrive in time which is the reason why you pre-book? The automated service is rubbish as well because will tell you taxi is booked then you are still waiting 30 mins later. There is one particular gentleman answering the phone who needs to be sacked because he is so rude and abrupt. The drivers always used to be extremely polite and curitis but now half of them are so rude. The standards of cleanliness of a few of the cars leaves a lot to be desired. 622222's are now the most reliable taxi service in Mansfield and there staff are always polite and helpful on the phone and they turn up on time and you dont have to keep chasing where your taxi is. The ACE- ABC app need to be more user friendly, I don't like the idea of paying up front because even when you book a taxi cant guarantee it will arrive. Sad to say ACE -ABC is no longer the best reliable taxi service in Mansfield and rivals 622222 offer a far more reliable speedier service. What a turn around.Moreexpand_more
I wouldnt recommend DONT USE THIS COMPANY I ordered a taxi from this service they allocated me a driver at 8. 25 took the driver away that was only 3 mins away I rang in and asked how long they said they waiting for drivers in our area so I remain waiting I ring again at 8. 55 to see where my taxi is still waiting for a driver then I asked how long roughly for the supervisor to tell me 20 -30 mins on straight away taxis so I asked how long have I been waiting then she said 26 mins so then I said we'll I've waited that long now for her to say now it's 30-40 mins wait then they allocate me a driver again for them to take away again so that's the second driver that I had and took away that was only 3 mins away so I ring them again and said its beyond a joke now my sons late for school for them to tell me I have to wait for another driver in my area so then I receive my driver be in mind I'm mad for making my son late I'm fuming with this company it's an absolute joke they are not fast they are not reliable and they think they can make there own rules I hope you don't get no costume cause your driving every one mad no wonder people do things out frustration because this company thinks its okay to make people late and look bad.
Hi rang for wheelchair access was told I would have to book a minibus which would cost twice the price ridiculous.
I use ace)ABC every day not no more I had a taxi booked on the 29 July 2021 at 10pm taxi still was not dispatched at 10. 25 so I tried to cancel but call operative said I can not will not be using ace again I rang 622222 taxi company and they was there in 5 mins ace have lost 125 pounds a week off me.
