Arbor Cultural Ltd provide excellence in all aspects fo arboricultural (tree) consultancy.

We have particular expertise in BS5837 work for development sites, health and safety surveys for schools using VTA and speaking to and engaging with the children, and the use of technology to advance to field of arboriculture.

We have regional offices in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire and cover the whole of the south east, and will travel further for more important jobs.

We aim to promote tree management and its many benefits. We have a wide variety of services on offer including tree mortgage reports, tree health and safety tips, decay detection testing and much more.

We have over 20 years’ experience working in the tree care industry, initially in forestry before making the switch to arboriculture or urban forestry around 10 years ago. We have experience in the public sector as tree officers and in the private sector as consultants for other companies and with Arbor Cultural Ltd for over 4 years now. This eneables us to fully understand what the tree officers require and to enable us to assist clients with achieving planning success with a suitable juxtaposition between their development and their trees.

If there are significant trees on or adjacent to properties or land that are subject to planning applications then the Local Planning Authority (LPA) may well request a Tree Survey, an Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA), tree constraints or tree protection plans and method statements.

Arbor Cultural are fully qualified professional with professional membership of the Arboricultural Association (AA) and the Consulting Arborist Society (CAS). All of our reports are fully compliant with the relevant British Standard BS5837 (2012) Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction – Recommendations and we stay up to date with industry developments.

Furthermore, we are passionate about preserving the value of the benefits that you get from your trees.

The areas that we operate in include London, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, West Sussex, East Sussex and Kent and we cover the whole of the South East.

Some of the local authorities that we have successfully assisted our clients to enable them to gain planning permission include Elmbridge, Surrey Heath, Mole Valley, Epsom and Ewell, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Tandridge and Waverley.

We have also worked successfully in most London Boroughs including Merton, Bromley, City of Westminster, Barnet, Camden, Hackney, Harrow, Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Sutton, Southwark, Kensington and Chelsea and Richmond upon Thames.

We have the very latest technology including an ArboTom sonic tomography device (an ultrasound for trees) to assess the structural integrity of the internal wood of the trunk or branches, a Resi PD micro drill, like a Resistograph, and core samplers.

This will enable us to more accurately assess a trees condition and make more specific recommendations for their ongoing management.

We also have chlorophyll fluorescence testers fro assessing the stress levels or vitality of trees.

We are keen to work with schools, not just completing their tree surveys, but also engaging with the children to get them out looking at trees and developing their interest and knowledge of trees.

We are also all about raising the level of knowledge about the value of trees.
