Our third time with 4x4Scotland hiring a Toyota Hilux to get us safely to and back from remote Drimnin on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands for New Year. Pick up and drop off at Glasgow Airport were straightforward and the vehicle was well prepared. The return journey was eventful insofar as a number of 2WD vehicles were struggling in the snow and icy conditions on single track roads, delaying our progress. However, we had no issues with road holding and the views were spectacular. Photo at Corran Ferry. We'll use this company again.

Returning to Scotland for a family wedding / vacation, we had to find the right sized car for 4 adults with luggage. 4x4 Hire recommended their Discovery 5 and "guaranteed" that our luggage would fit - they were right! From being able to transact via WhatsApp, dealing with a last-minute change of pick-up location and the professional yet friendly service at both collection and drop-off, we had a very positve experience. 4x$ Hire are thoroughly recommended and we will definitely use again on future trips home. This is the second time we have hired a vehicle from 4x4 Hire (Scotland) Ltd and, as on the first occasion, everything went perfectly. From choosing the vehicle to returning it to Edinburgh Airport, including delivery to our hotel in the city centre, absolutely everything went perfectly. Bottles of (Scottish) water and mint sweets are provided with the vehicle. There is even an umbrella in the boot (but it hardly ever rains in Scotland…). They are a trusted partner, very professional, attentive to their customers and offering the highest level of quality. Communication with Jack and his teams is direct, simple and efficient. The vehicles meet our expectations, are in very good condition, and it is a pleasure to drive on Scottish roads in a Range Rover Defender. I recommend them 200% and am already looking forward to our next trip to Scotland (2026? ).

I rented a Toyota Hi-Lux for a coast to coast trip. The service from start to finish was excellent. Really responsive communications from end to end and a range of options explained. All very clear. The car was delivered and collected from our door which was very convenient and was in excellent condition inside and out. The terms of hire were explained clearly and the booking process simple. All in all excellent service from Jack and the company. Would definitely recommend.

Our family of four utilized the services of 4x4 Hire Scotland, LTD for a week's journey from Inverness to Edinburgh. Jack and his team were extremely responsive from start to finish and very thorough in explaining the different options available to us. The booking process was very easy. When we arrived at Inverness Airport we were immediately met by the local 4x4 representative who escorted us right to our vehicle. The car was clean, very comfortable to drive and we had no issues whatsoever throughout the week. When it came time to return the vehicle, the representative met us in the city to collect it when we were ready. It could not have been easier or more convenient - we highly recommend 4x4 Scotland for your car hire needs!

I needed a Land Rover Defender for a wildlife photography trip to the Isle of Mull. 4x4 Hire provided an excellent 110 with plenty of room for all the camera gear and was a pleasure to drive. It took me everywhere I needed to go without any problem. Parts of Mull can be a bit tricky to negotiate but the defender took it all in its stride. I will be using 4x4 Hire again when I need a 4x4 I can rely on to get the job done. Mission accomplished.

The reaction time following my initial enquiry was impressive and particularly so given the urgency on my vehicle requirements. I resaerced a lot of companies to rent the Land Rover Defender and ultimately selected 4x4 based on the professionality of their website and response. And I was right to do so. We were met at the airport, the car was in good nick and very clean. Any question thay we had during the journey was quickly answered. Return procedure was quick and professional.
