1 to One Garden Design

Frances Riley and her team were a delight to work with, providing knowledgeable, professional help in redesigning a tricky garden on a chalky slope with woods behind. We are delighted with the finished garden, which includes a wildlife area with a newly built pergola, a walled allotment designed and built by Frances’ team, sculpting of the lawn to provide attractive borders which are filled with drought tolerant plants, which work harmoniously together. Frances provided a plan of the garden, as well as a planting plan, before worked commenced. The team were on site daily for about 3 weeks. They worked methodically and tidily.

A new lawn laid and pergola built. Very happy with the results and service provided. Good communication and workmanship throughout. No hesitation in recommending.

My small cottage garden needed the borders replanting as the buddlias and mallows were old and the groundcover was swamped with weeds. Fran patiently dug out all the ground elder and lemon balm and planted a wonderful selection of plants which have filled out beautifully and give a wonderful year round colour.

We worked with Frances and Rob at all stages of the work, from design to landscaping. Whilst we made alterations and additions as the work progressed these were dealt with with encouragement and nothing was too much trouble. Communication was very good and we were kept informed at all stages of the work. Disruption was kept to a minimum and we are delighted with the quality of the work and the final appearance.

We wanted our back garden re-designed, made more child friendly, with a new patio area, new grass area, timber retaining wall and some easy care planting. All of the above was done exactly as I had visualised. Rob has brilliant attention to detail and the work was carried out to a very high standard. We were more than happy with the end result.

I needed a gardener to attack the garden, which had got out of control, in my new house and leave me with something that I could manage by myself. I also wanted help in planning my garden for future years, so that I could create a natural enviroment which looked good and was low on maintainence. Francis and her team have been a real help, the winter clearout has been done and I look forward to seeing her again in the Spring to begin the planting and crafting.

Fran and Rob are a great team and took our rather sketchy ideas and worked them into a coherent plan. The result is a more than we expected and has been admired by many. Frances did a first class job of sorting my garden out following the winter. It was wonderful to come home to a beautiful garden with lots of lovely pots filled and the lawn edged. Excellent value. Fully recommend.

1 to One garden Design removed established laurel hedging 12ft tall and about 30ft long, all cleared including grounding out of roots along with considerable rubble along the boundary, installed concrete post and kick board with wooden fencing. All was done on on schedule.
