Excellent Service from Colin. After I contacted Colin, he emailed me, with a thorough explanation of what he could do and a clear cost breakdown. I had VHS videos and 8mm camcorder tapes (broken and damaged), which he successfully transferred to a memory stick, in a very short time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Video 99.

I found video99 when I entered my requirements on Google. I wanted a programme which was broadcasted in 1979 transferring from an old cassette so we could see it again. Colin from video99 came back to me with a quote straight away. I went ahead with the transfer and Colin kept me in touch throughout the process. Great and professional service Colin has the best equipment out there to transfer your old family videos etc onto any format you desire. 20 tapes were sorted very quickly and colin kept ime nformed all the way. About to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. I wanted to be able to show the film that was made at the time of our wedding on 16mm film. Fortunately I have a video transfer on BVU Umatic and some quarter inch tape of the audio. Colin managed to get an acceptable copy of the nearly 60 year old tapes into a digital format and send me the result on a USB stick. All accomplished in a few days at a very good price. Thankyou.

I highly recommend Colin / video99. He provided an excellent service from start to finish. I had a box of old home movies (Video8 tapes) dating back 25 years that we had not been able to look at since the original video camera stopped working years ago. On the recommendation of a neighbour I contacted Colin. He couldn’t have been more helpful answering all my questions and addressing my concerns about keeping the tapes secure. When I sent him the tapes I was very impressed by how well he kept me informed and how quickly he did the job. Just two days after I had posted the tapes he had uploaded the converted files for me to look at and confirm I was happy with them! Two days later I received the tapes back and a memory stick containing all the converted files in DV-AVI and MPEG format. In total the whole process took just 4 days! If I could give Colin more stars, I would. I have been using his service for over a decade, and each time I'm amazed at how quick, informative, reasonably priced and just how easy he makes the video transfer process. I've worked in the industry myself so I know how many charlatans and overpriced services there are willing to take your cash and run. I even trusted him with my wedding videos and was impressed with the quality of the digital results - supplied on USB stick or WeTransfer. Absolutely great work, keep it up Colin!

Colin rescued a fast deteriorating VHS home movie and gave me back something I can now actually watch without several agonising hours trying to remember if I have a VHS player and if so, where the heck is it… Brilliantly quick with clear instructions on how much he could (or couldn't! ) do, made for a reliable and friendly service. I don't usually write reviews as constantly being asked for reviews on everything one can buy from a bar of soap to a pack of picture hooks, However I have made an exception as the service offered by Colin was really good, the quality excellent and the speed from the time of me sending 16VHS tapes the contents of which I had no idea except amongst them were home movies from the 80's and copies of cine film from the 60's was under a week! My advice is do not hesitate to have video99 transfer the old VHS tapes before the memories are lost forever!

Rare to find a service like this that far exceeds expectations in every way. From initial quote enquiry through to seeing the excellent result, everything was handled in a very professional but also very friendly manner. Was kept fully aware of what was happening at all times. Nothing seemed too much trouble and final result, considering the age of the tape as well as tape damage probably caused by someone's previous attempts on poorly setup equipment, the final result was very high quality. The supply of both a smaller low resolution copy plus a larger high resolution copy suitable for editing was a bonus. Very happy to recommend this service and Mr McCormick unreservedly. Only wish I had other tapes that need digitising so I could use it again.
