My wife, Paula, is in Basingstoke Hospital Othopaedic ward, where she has been for some time following a road traffic accident.
She is in need of podiatry for her toenails, as well as a straightforward manicure.
Her big toenails are the most challenging as they are very long and are quite thick and hard. The podiatrist who works at the hospital has looked at them and decided they’re beyond the scope of what she can do.
I have spoken to the nurses in the ward and the podiatry can be carried out at Paula’s bedside where there is a chair.
The rest of her toenails are reasonably normal - one or two are thickened.
Her fingernails are just long and need cutting. If your service is just podiatry, that is fine- I can find a manicurist to deal with those. David.
