View all 140 Reviews | 1.05 1.0 out of 5 - I purchased a 2 Bar electric fire on 18/1/13 from Rhyl works which developed a fault with one of the bars stopping working. The company were very helpful at this point and sent a replacement.
The second fire also developed a fault with sparking coming from the faulty bar. This time the company were less than helpful and said liquid has been allowed to fall on both fires or water from a sink...
The fires were situated in an office with no sink so this is not possible and drinks have not been allowed to fall on it.
Barrie has told me there is dried up liquid on the fire I returned but this did not occur when the fire was being used by me.
Sadly Barrie has ignored my concerns that the fire is a hazard and suggests that I am being dishonest in how I say the fires have been used.
I feel very upset with the service I have received and the lack of concern at my worries that someone else may have purchased a faulty fire in this style.
Maybe I have just been very unlucky sadly I am put off buying this sort of product on line.
I plan to get a qualified electrician to take a look at the fire and assess the fault.
I am very sad to have to write this complaint as the company have so many great reviews.
I now wonder if these reviews are a true reflection of their service based on my experience?

Pleased my mother no end (she is 98 and extremely attached to her old fire - new fangled fires just don't make the grade in her opinion!) Service was terrific, cannot be faulted. Exactly what we wanted, delivered the next day. No fuss, no bother.

Delivery times were quicker than stated and everything arrived in good order. Their order and delivery processes are clearly defined and excellent value for money. Rhyl Lightworks are clearly a reliable and genuine company that care about their customers and their service. I wish more companies/websites would operate in this manner.
