My laptop was running really slowly and I had tried everything to get it going again. I took it to Mike and it feels like a new machine! He replaced the SSD Drive and also kindly transferred all my data and programs on to the new drive. I was worried about all the work of transferring data and finding things again, but he took all the stress out of it. Brilliant communication all the way though the process and a really reasonable quote and price for parts and work. I will definitely go to him again if I have issues in the future. Thank you! .

My business email had stopped working and I 1st went to PC world in Brixton who identify the problem as either being the operating system (OS), Vista being outdated which involved installing a new OS or I had to install an updated email program. I didnt want to change the OS and then re-learning the new system so tried updating the email program but this didnt work. Next, I went to a laptop repair shop but got the same answers as PC world gave me and then I phoned mike and his SOLUTION WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and he identify the problem quickly and said the EMAIL ACCOUNT SETTING NEEDED UPDATING and solved the problem in 30mins. Sometimes tech people can make you feel stupid but Mike was friendly, took time to explain things in layman's terms and was money for value and I will definitely use him again and would recommend him to family and friends.

A huge thank you to Mike for recovering my hard drive. All intact and cannot say how dreadful it would have been if all those files, photos, and info had been lost. I am so grateful and have learned the importance of regular back up the hard way! Mike also sent me some info regarding specifications for a new computer as a favour which was very helpful. My laptop had completely stopped working. Took it to Mike and he tole me that the hard drive was done for. He sorted a new hard drive in a couple of days and it's now working better than it's ever done! All in all, great value for money and excellent service. With a laptop full of problems after several years of inexpert use - and fed up wasting day upon day trying ineffectually to sort out even simple problems - I went on-line to look for local help in my S/West Central London area. 'MikeWillFixIt' looked good - and has indeed proved as good as his name. Mike is a quietly confidence-instilling, amiable young chap. In an initial drop off and collect in an afternoon he gave the thing a complete overhaul - Getting rid of clutter and installing useful assets instead. This was followed by a home visit mainly to set up a connection between laptop and telly. Mike also sorted out an irritating problem I was having with ITV-Player. The third session has just been through a free connector download he'd installed to enable him to solve things by remote control, by arrangement of a mutually convenient time to link up. Specifically, back in the summer, the BBC messed about with their wonderful I-Player causing widespread inability to reconnect to it to download programmes: It took Mike about half an hour to get around this very annoying problem which the BBC caused but have singularly failed to address themselves. It was fascinating to watch on my screen, obscure programmes being explored in rapid 'Russian Doll' layers, the cursor darting about like a firefly, all far too quick to follow. These particular cures of major problems are on top of the many small, quick technical solutions to practical problems and verbal answers to questions, including,eg, incompatibility of security apps and e-mailing guidance. In short, I think Mike well deserves his other reviews, and also very importantly is as reliable as he is patient, a huge bonus particularly to someone of my anni domini trying to stumble through the techno-jungle. Mike's rates are indeed very reasonable, especially given his preparedness to go the extra mile in solving a problem. My computer told me this morning that it feels like it had just spent a week at the spa. Mike did a great job yesterday sorting out my previous workarounds and partial fixes that had basically created a working mess. This included software problems, a Windows reinstallation, reconfiguring and installing peripheral devices, and reintegrating our network as a whole. Mike showed up on time, dived in immediately, worked quickly and efficiently, and was more than fair in his pricing.

I had trouble in accessing Skype. Mike correctly diagnosed the problem, cleaned up the hard disk and installed extra memory. He was prompt courteous and did an excellent job. I would certainly be happy to use him again and to recommend him to others.

I was having problems with Internet connection on my laptop and had already tried two different IT technicians. I called Mike after browsing on the internet to look at various sites of computer repair companies-his looked by far the most attractive and trust-inspiring. My laptop was running slow and had various other problems that i had tried to solve for months. Mike was in my flat within hours and not only reinstalled windows, but equipped it with various very useful programs and made it run more smoothly than it ever did. He also fixed an old laptop that I couldn't use anymore due to a virus. I learnt a lot on the way as he shared his vast knowledge. It was by far the best IT experience I've had and for an amazing price. On top of that Mike is a really nice person as well. Highly recommended, I will certainly pass it around to all my friends!

My laptop crashed completely one night following a blue screen of death and after numerous and various attempts from myself to revive it I had to give up and accept that this laptop was not going to be functional again without professional help. I called two high street computer repair shops the next day and having described the issues I was having and the error messages I had received both of them diagnosed it over the phone as being a hardware issue, and that I would need to replace the hard drive. The quote given to me from both places were similar, and in my view, complete rip offs. Fortunately, I however stumbled across Mike's website. I was a bit hesitant at first to use a one-man company - simply a psychological thing since you always assume that the bigger high street chains will be more reliable etc. But after seeing the positive reviews I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. Mike responded quickly to my email despite being away on holiday at the time and based on my description made the same diagnosis as to what the issue was likely to be as the two high street chains I had spoken to. The quote however, was FAR more reasonable than what they would have charged me. Mike did not charge a premium on the actual hard drive but kept the price at a normal retail price; and the fee for the actual technician (ie Mike) was very reasonable and far below what the others had quoted. All in all the price ended up not far away from being almost half price.Mike scheduled in an appointment immediately when he was back from his holiday and came to my flat to fix the laptop. Excellent service - really friendly guy who knows what he's doing and is very service-minded. Before replacing the hard drive he made sure to first test it to make sure that actually was where the issue lay, and then proceeded to reinstall everything I needed. As a bonus, he even gave me some very useful extra software for free.I can definitely recommend Mike - this guy knows what he's doing and you will not get a better value for money elsewhere.Moreexpand_more
