Harvey from Fix Computers in Manchester has dig me out of a very deep hole. With that, made my laptop run three times faster. All within 24 hours. Much, much appreciated. I would highly recommend the service. I know where I will service my laptop now. Thanks!

Well what can I say! Harvey has saved the day again. I sat on my lap top(yes I know, idiot). My lap top is my job and lively hood and when something goes wrong its literally the end of the world. Until you ring Harvey that is. This guy is a ledge. Cheap, efficient, fast. Just no messing around. I would recommend to anyone, you wont be disappointed. ;-).

We had a laptop that was working slow and then it froze at "configuring windows - 100% complete" and wouldn't move off this page. Harvey fixed it made the laptop run as it did when it was bought a few years ago.

Cracked the screen of my laptop and after calling round the majority of laptop repair services in Manchester decided to go with Harvey at fix-computers. Not only was he one of the cheapest but also offered the fastest service as I need my laptop for my business. From the start Harvey was up front and honest with me and kept me informed through out. As promised my screen was fixed within a couple of days and is as good as new. Overall I couldn't fault the service or price, Harvey clearly knows his stuff and is both thorough and informative, I will definitely be using them in the future - thanks Harvey.

GPU managed to fall out during transit and caused motherboard problems. Harvey managed to switch out the motherboard, re-installed the rest of my components, windows and did data recovery, within a week and for a fair price. After the screen on my HP Pavillion DV9000 laptop went off, having done a bit of research I found out that this was a well known issue with the Nvidia graphics chip coming away from the motherboard due to overheating of the laptop through the way it had been designed. I knew it was fixable but for how long it would last was anyones guess and sometimes it was too late. Having looked on the internet for a reliable trustworthy repairer I came across Fix Computers and spoke to Harvey over the phone explaining what my issue was. He explained what my options were and that he would have a go at fixing it and right from the start I established what cost I was looking at (if it wasn't economically viable I would rather have put the much needed cash towards a new one)I specifically asked what would be the situation if it wasnt fixable and was told £30. I took my computer to Harvey Black on 4th April 2013 who attempted a fix on it and after 2 days of stress testing all seemed well, he had also cleaned out the fan (done free of charge) and got the disc drive working again after it went missing (software issue - done free of charge) he asked me if I would like the computer to run faster and a general tune-up carried out (he would charge £25 instead of the usual £40)so I agreed and all in all it cost £90 but after I got it home within 2 days it failed. I rang him up and told him the situation and he said bring it back and I will have another go at it. After having it over a week he attempted 2 fixes on it but both times it failed rendering the laptop useless so I asked Harvey to remove the hard drive and I would come and collect it. Having agreed at the start to the no fix fee of £30 I incorrectly assumed I would be going to collect my laptop and £60 would be returned to me. How wrong I was, after enquiring "what about the money" I got the response "oh you don't owe me anymore money"! So I explained what I meant and he said "well this is what I was saying"? The point is he at no time explained that re-attempting to fix my laptop would mean I would come away empty handed! So I'm left £90 down with a laptop that is in the same state as it went. My girlfriend had an accident with some water on the keyboard, I thought I would do it, save the cost of a company doing it, by replacing the keyboard myself. It went very wrong. I had also done damage to the motherboard connection to the keyboard aswell. I called Harvey in my hour of need. In only a few short hours he had replaced the keyboard and it was working like new. I cant thank him enough. Hes something else, I would recommend him highly and will use him again in the future.

Picked up and Replaced screen in my Laptop within 4 hrs - quite impressive - Thx can't live with my laptop (bit sad really).

We used fix computers having had numerous problems. We had used 3 previous local computer repair companies all who could not solve the issues we were having. I cannot fault the service received and would have no problem in recommending Harvey. We will be using him again on future projects.

External Drive had unrepairable damage to the USB3 port, I received excellent service from this independent - on a Sunday and at short notice, replaced the enclosure and tested hard drive to ensure I still had my data. Very reasonable price.

Could not access websites easily and laptop was running slow, Fix Computers came out same evening, took laptop away, returned next day with PC in good order. Harvey spent time with me explaining what he had done, and left me with a service schedule so the fault should not occur again. Very pleasant person, would recommend gladly, in fact have done just that today to a friend with similar problem. B. Gould.

My laptop wasn't charging fix computers sorted it out for me was done in a fast time and service was better than any other place I know of for repairs thank you so much.
