Established in 2006, Amethyst Photography has many years experience in the Photography sector, and focuses on providing a quality photography service to its clients throughout the UK. The company is based in Billingham, in the North East of England, but carries out work nationwide.
Amethyst Photography prides itself in providing a superb service without the high prices. Their pricing structure has made them a popular choice for clients looking for quality and value.
The company offers a range of photography services to either the general public or commercial clients which is intended to be enjoyable and relaxing. With a fully equipped studio, they have fully qualified, friendly and helpful staff allowing clients to enjoy the time they spend with them.
The company offers a wide range of images in various sizes that are perfect as gifts for all the family and over time, they help to bring those memories back to life. The photographs are edited by their expert staff prior to printing.
With 3 full time professional photographers, Amethyst Photography has a young team who are trained to the highest standards in both their photographic capacity and also their customer service. Two of the staff are trained to B. I. P. P (British Institute of Professional Photography) accredited standards in both wedding and portrait photography. They have a growing portfolio of customers that are located throughout the UK, including several retail companies as well as blue chip clients. Their attention to detail and quality control, makes them a company on whom customers can rely. The company is owned by a dedicated husband and wife team whose attention to detail is proving popular with clients. Having previously been employed by an International photographic company, they have a lot of photographic experience behind them, and their staff are experienced enough to capture those special moments in your life.
Despite being a relatively new company, Amethyst Photography is building an ever increasing portfolio in order to gain full membership of both the MPA (Master Photographers Association) and the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers).
Hours of Business
Amethyst Photography are open for business from 9:15 to 15:00 Monday, are closed Tuesday, are open 9:15 to 15:00 Wednesday to Friday, 9:15 to 16:00 Saturday and are closed Sunday.

4.7 out of 5 | I took my family in for a portrait session, the end results were excellent. The session took longer than i expected, the photographer was a perfectionist and wanted to get it right. I was very impressed with the overall setup.

While the day unfolded they seemed to capture every moment (even ones WE didn't see) without ever being in the way. The after service was beyond our expectations and nothing was too much for them. Our Pictures and Wedding Book were better than we could ever have hoped for.

We went to Amethyst for a family portrait and only had the intention of purchasing 1 photo but the choice and quality of the photos taken enabled us to have a variety of pictures and the package prices were very reasonable.

5.0 out of 5 | We used Amethyst for our wedding photographs and received a level of service greatly over and above that which we expected.
We had initially not planned to have an "official" wedding photographer, however were persuaded by family and friends that we should reconsider so as not to miss anything on the day. We initially approached Amethyst as they were reasonably priced, although we were initially wary of this when comparing to other businesses as it seemed too good to be true.
The whole process from the initial meeting onwards was carried out in a relaxed, friendly manner, which was especially appreciated on the day itself. The end results were a fantastic set of photographs.
The biggest issue we faced was choosing the photographs we wanted from those taken, as there were so many excellent shots to choose from. In the end couldn`t narrow the choice down so we bought additional photos -again at very reasonable prices.
We would definitely choose Amethyst for any future requirements, and have already recommended them to family and friends who have subsequently booked for future weddings.Steven Holtham - 17 Sep 2008 |
