Where do I begin. Andy instantly makes you feel at ease, he is laid back, friendly and incredibly patient. If it wasn't for Andy's patience and calm presence I wouldn't have coped with learning how to drive, due to severe anxiety. I had never driven before and learned solely with Andy. I will miss my weekly lessons, having a laugh and gaining confidence week be week. Thanks to Andy I passed my test first time this morning!

I have always suffered with terrible anxiety almost my entire life, and being on the road only amplified that. I was petrified as a learner, and always doubted myself, but when I found 5th Gear driving with Andy I couldn’t help but feel at ease as Andy was so calm, confident and laid-back. I was so worried I would never be able to believe in myself enough to become a user of the road; I thought the dream was entirely out of my reach, but with Andy behind me it didn’t take me long to grow a determination within myself I never thought possible. If you ever needed a confidence boost or a laugh to relax, Andy is your guy, but will always guide you on where you’re going right or wrong. He has a friendly chatty personality that one can easily click with, oftentimes I’d forget I was on a driving lesson, it just felt like I was driving with a really great friend. Andy changed my life around by believing and pushing my to my greatest potential, and not allowing limiting beliefs to hold me back. Now I have my freedom and independence as a road-user. Thank you for opening my eyes, will always be thankful to Andy.

Cannot recommend 5th gear enough! Andy really did make learning to drive a total pleasure. I enjoyed every lesson, andy made me feel comfortable and confident and I think that helped me learn fast! He was very reliable and tried to fit my lessons in for times convenient to me as well which was great! So when it came to my test I felt supported and well taught. I was a difficult learner but Andy never gave up on me and kept encouraging me not to give up as this was the norm when learning to drive. After being let down (badly) by other instructors I came to Andy, I must say that this is 1 diamond fella who helped me loads, patient and understanding. He is a man who doesn't rip you off and knows when your ready for your test. I passed 1st time with the help of this gentleman. Would defiantly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn.

Andi is an amazing instructor who straight away identifies your week areas and gets to work on them straight away if you have drove before, however if you are only starting to learn now I highly recommend Andi to be your instructor because the atmosphere in the car whilst learning is amazing you feel relaxed and you know if you do something wrong he will help you correct it straight away.
