I had a bad instructor before but Pete really worked with me, took the time to understand my learning style and retrain me so I could feel confident in myself. If you\'re an anxious driver he\'ll put you at ease.
The tips he gave are so useful I continue to use them when I drive.
Admittedly he said I wasn\'t quite ready for the test yet so I had to use my own car, however he talked me through the test the day before, gave me tips on the layout of the test centre itself so I didn\'t make a silly mistake in the car park, tricks that would help me personally with my anxiety etc.
He even messaged me after the test to ask how I got on.
He\'s an absolute gem of an instructor, couldn\'t recommend him any more highly!

As a responsible driving instructor it’s my duty to advise the client if they are test ready within a timeframe so at least they do not lose their practical test fee. On the odd occasion we can get it wrong but at the time I had to make the decision you were not quite ready but close. You continued to take more lessons leading up to the test (4 hours ) where you improved further. I am so happy you passed the test and left behind all the negative comments from your previous instructor who did nothing for your confidence nor put into place the remedial actions to progress you. I am 100% sure you will be a safe driver and simply keep improving with experience. It was a pleasure teaching you, always polite and committed to the task. Also thank you for the referrals, I will attempt to accommodate them on my return from a mini break. Take care Pete.

We contacted No Ls Driving School because they are local to us and were well-rated already… and we are very pleased we did! Dean, the instructor, returned our messages immediately and although highly booked was prepared to book us in for 3 months ahead. Dean, the instructor, returned our messages immediately and although highly booked was prepared to book us in for 3 months ahead. When our daughter turned 17, she began lessons and to say she was super-nervous of driving would be an understatement! Testament to Dean’s calm and encouraging approach is the fact that she quickly gained enough confidence with driving to decide she would keep learning beyond our initial 10-week booking (block-booking proved to be a good money-saving method, by the way). In practical terms, he was able to fit in lessons very early in the day and even at the weekend when there were no other spaces, and always messaged our daughter if he needed to change the plan. When he said our daughter was ready for the test, he was right… she is delighted to have passed first time with only one minor – a superb boost in confidence and we can only say a BIG thank you to Dean for his quietly supportive teaching approach to learning to drive. We definitely highly recommend No Ls and Dean!
