"SEW" by M-Design Sewing Studio

After completing the six week beginners sewing course with Manuela at M-Design Sewing Studio several months ago, I continued my once weekly 2 hour sessions to develop my skills. I started from absolute beginner and am already almost at intermediate level. I've made several garments in class and independently based on the sewing advice and guidance that I have received over the past few months. I would recommend this class for anyone interested in sewing, either to learn the basics, to improve their skills or even as a social evening class. The shop also boasts an impressive range of fabrics, at very reasonable prices and an extensive haberdashery that you can browse or ask for advice on.

M-Design made part of a customized dance costume for me (and five more dancers) to wear. The service was very efficient and Manuela is very experienced in sewing and garment making. Excellent service!

Really useful classes, tailored to the needs of the individual. Have booked more sessions after the initial 4 as am finding them really enjoyable.

M-Design has carried out an efficient service on bespoke garments for my Belly Dance troupe as well as doing alteration for myself. A good location for a business with parking. There is also a fittings room. Manuela offers a great service on anything from alterations to wedding gowns and everything in between.

Although I had battled with most elements of dressmaking on my own, there were a few aspects of it that required professional tuition. Manuela helped me create a beautiful pair of grey wide leg trousers, focussing on the waistband and the pockets, as this was something I had either done wrong before, or had difficulty following a pattern. Really appreciated the guidance, it has come in handy many times now and look forward to booking another shortly. :-).
