I used LCS (Manchester) after the small family run firm I've used for years ceased trading due to ill health. Initially all was well, the online booking was quick and easy with an email received immediately to confirm the booking. The price was also fair for the service being provided. The drop off instructions were simple and the driver arrived to collect the car a few minutes after we arrived at the airport. Again on return the process was simple and we waited about 15 mins for the driver to arrive with our car. This is where the problem started. When I left the car it had just been washed and polished. I fully accept that it will gather dirt whilst being stored however I was not prepared with the disgraceful condition it was returned in. The body work was covered in a thick layer of what appeared to be a sandy dust. The dust also contained very small pieces of gravel in it. All the voids around the wipers were full of dead leaves and the back door was covered in bird droppings. The driver apologised for the condition of the car and actually appeared to be embarrassed to return it in that condition. I reluctantly signed the form to say there was no damage however due to the dirt I couldn't see properly. When I got the car home I looked at it and it looked like it had been parked on a building site next to someone operating a Stihl Saw. I washed the car and noticed absolutely loads of small chips on the bonnet. There was also a larger chip on the windscreen. I know that none of these were present when I dropped the car off. I phoned LCS who would accept no responsibility and basically said all the chips must have been present before I dropped the car off. I was told to use my own insurance company to fix the chipped screen as it would be 'free'. I've already looked into this and I'll have to pay a £25 excess assuming it can be repaired as opposed to being replaced. I was told the dirt was just down to the 'weather'. I can assure you that the amount of dirt was not as a result of heavy rain. I am now left with a damaged car which LCS will not admit any liability for. I am now considering options in relation to the small claims court. I will never use LCS again and I will never recommend them to anyone. If you want to get your car back in the same condition you left it do not use this firm.Moreexpand_more
30 miles difference from dropping the car off to collecting it despite advertising that it's less than 2 miles away from the terminal. What have you been using my car for? I***Red Astra yp62 … Flew in on mon306 this morning***.
Jacqueline Madigan. Avoid this company at all costs! We booked with them but they failed to provide any service at all. We contacted the 13 times left numerous voice-mails as the mobile was switched off. We had to park in the long stay car park at a cost of £148. We did however receive a refund after contacting them on our return. I gave them a week to explain or apologise when we didn't receive anything from them I contacted them again and here is their response. "Unfortunately it seems the o2 mobile phone system failed which led to you. Being unable to contact the drivers at Manchester Airport. Beyond our control but we are obliged to return your monies."I have an O2 phone! No problems with my phone, just glad to get our money back! We booked this service in June for 10 days - when I rang on the way to the airport they didn't have my details but was very efficient in sorting this and accepting my car! On the way back we rang them as we went through customs - and they arrived within 5 minutes - would definitely recommend and would use again!
Terrible Service right from the start. Took over 30 minutes to collect the car from me when I arrived at Manchester. When I came to pick up the car they took 50 minutes to bring the car back to me, after 2 phone calls to find out where they were they said it was my fault they were taking so long as I kept ringing them and they had to stop driving despite the fact the guy I spoke to was clearly in an office. No apologies for the lateness and very rude attitude from everyone at the company. I would avoid at all costs, unless you like dealing with rude unhelpful companies. I rang to complain and was told they were too busy and not interested in complaints.
We booked this meet n greet on the basis of previous excellent reviews and are now wondering if they wrote them themselves. On arrival, we were running 10 mins ahead of time so phoned them 20 minutes before the time booked to coincide with the time booked and expected a 10 minute wait. We actually had a 20 minute delay before they collected our car. The person who collected the car reassured us that they would keep an eye on our flight time to ensure speedy collection. The flight was actually 10 minutes earlier than expected, however when we phoned LCS they said they'd be at least a half an hour as they'd got someone off sick and their bookings had piled up. We had to call again when there was no sign of them after half an hour to be told it would be at least another 5 minutes. In the end our car was returned 35 minutes after the booked time. At least I received a half hearted apology. However, as it was 2am when we finally got home and with a need to get up for work at 6:20am feeling stressed and hassled it was a less than ideal end to our wonderful holiday and we will not be using them again. I agree with previous reviews and I will not use LCS Manchester Ltd again. Although this company offers a fairly good value for money for valet parking service, the customer service we received recently was appoaling! The driver who picked up our car had no ID on him, rushed us to sign a document we had no time to read and the only thing we got when going on holiday was a business card he gave us to call on return, so we can get the car back. Unfortunately it was my first and only time I used this company, and lack of any document what so ever prooving that I actually gave keys to my car to the right people made me worried through out my holiday. On return the car was returned promptly, however the driver wanted to go within less than a minute and was rude and rushed me saying he is very busy and has no time to wait until I check my car. I red their terms and conditions on the website which state that claims can not be accepted if you have left the airport! So you must check your car before leaving the terminal. If damage is not noted at the terminal it will be assumed the vehicle was returned to the owner in the condition it was when collected by LCS. Well this isn't very reassuring if the dirver is rushing you and after less than 2 minutes from dropping of the car he says he is not bothered about your signature on the scrap of paper he presented as a proof of you accepting the car back! And again he had no document or receipt to give. LCS made a very bad impression on the whole family as we have left two cars with them at the time. I will definately not recomend this company due to their unprofessional behaviour and lack of any documentation apart from email confirming the fact we booked the service with them. We found the service unsatisfactory. We rang as advised approx 15 mins before arriving at the airport and were left waiting 15 mins for someone to collect the car. On waiting to pick up the car on our arrival back in the UK we were waiting 25 mins (and had to ring twice to understand what the hold up was) - we were told this was because of delays due to the metro, however the onboard car computer showed the engine had only been on a few mins so was difficult to believe this excuse.
Having dropped my car off with this compnay a very good response time on the outbound journey I thought this was a very good service but to then land after a weekend away on Sunday night at 23:15 then proceeded to stand around waiting for my car to arrive for just over 45 minutes was a complete let down and I even rung the company 4 times to which they ignored me my car did a total distance of 2 miles whilst I was away so why did it take 45 mins to drop it off and leave us stood in the cold I used the meet and greet to get away from the extra 30 minute journey to a park and ride and them giving me and excuse of we was busy just don't cut it If they knew there was that many people flying in around the same time then why not have more staff last night I booked this parking at the beginning of the year and they should know how many cars there are to be dropped off. Had the service be as good as the drop off then I may of used them again but it seems a park an ride would be better if I had been traveling with my children and not just lads then this sort of waiting time would not if been acceptable we finally got home at 0130 hrs this morning if the company would like to compensate me with a free park the next time I booked then It would much appreciated and somewhat soften my cough but the guy who dropped my car back wasn't even interested not even an apology for the delay Mr turner.
Booked three weeks parking for a trip to the US at a cost of £60. Returned to the UK 12 days late thanks to the volcanic ash cloud! Now many car parks (including Manchester Airport) waivered charges, but not this company! We had emeiled them three times from the US and had no response at all. After all of the stress of the trip we were greeted with a demand for another £60 for 12 days and the appauling attitude of "pay up or you don't get you car back". The manager bordered on demanding money with menaces! Save yourself money and avoid this crew of pirates like the plague.
