I won a week\'s stay here in a charity raffle. Packed up the husband and two dogs for the most relaxing week imaginable. Fantastic countryside all around, with the bonus of fantastic Roman ruins within easy reach. Quaint and peaceful village with all necessary amenities. Cottage was so comfortable we spent a lot of of time just relaxing there, all our needs were catered for (plus husband did the cooking!). Slept better than at home and enjoyed the massive TV. Very tastefully furnished, clearly a good deal of thought has gone into making people\'s stays as pleasant as possible.

Utterly delightful cottage in a beautiful location. We stayed here as a family of four for one week and absolutely loved it. I honestly could not fault a thing, everything was perfect. The cottage was immaculately clean as were the utensils, glassware, crockery, bedding etc. Truly a home from home, would recommend this cottage to anyone. Very accommodating owners and friendly local people. Bellingham itself has got all amenities within a short walking distance, about two minutes. There are some beautiful walks and cycle routes and we made use of the local swimming pool which was free when booking the cottage and not far away. Local pubs offered superb meals and nothing was overpriced. Pet friendly our cat even got some treats on arrival at the cottage. We have already rebooked and are due to return in October. Loved it.

The Bowery, Bellingham. Myself and husband have just spent a lovely week in The Bowery (30 April 2012). Quiet cul-de-sac location, just minutes from the High Street of Bellingham. Cottage makes an excellent base to tour from, or you can just walking locally. Well equipped for self-catering and good food available locally in Pub/Hotels. No issues with parking as the property comes with two parking spaces. Cottage was very warm and cosy, even when it snowed we were very comfortable. There is no garden, so outside space is limited, but there is a small balcony to sit out on on sunny summer days. We would be very happy to make a return visit to The Bowery. Mrs. W. Barth.

Spotlessly clean cottage in a perfect setting - ideal for exploring Kielder Water. The dogs appreciated the treats waiting for them on arrival and we appreciated the super comfy beds and sofabeds after a day out walking! We will definitely be coming back

When I arrived at the cottage, it was a bit difficult to find the key safe at first, but once I found it and we got into the cottage, I couldn\'t fault it at all. The living space was quite open, but cosy at the same time. The darts board was a real hit!
Upstairs was just gorgeous. We spend most of our time hiding out up there.
The amount we paid for the cottage was fabulous considering what we actually got for our money.
Would recommend to anyone.

The owner had left all the nice little touches in the cottage that one would need to be comfortable. Nothing was spared. Washing upliquid, all the cooking utensils needed, even olive oil and herbs! The cottage was very comfortable and the entertainment system was top quality, even with dvd\'s to borrow. It was lovely to use the health suite in the local hotel for free, a nice touch All round, great experience :)

We had a great time in a lovely location. The house was wonderful, very well positioned and appointed and with everything we could have wanted. Perfect place for a break. Owners helped out with our late arrival by rushing out last minute to get us some supplies, and even something for the dog (who loved it) - Best \'restful\' holiday we\'ve had in while. Everyone in the village was so friendly - 5*..... we totally recommend it!

The owners are really accommodating and went out of their way to help with what we needed. We loved the relaxed atmosphere of the cottage and the village folk are really friendly too. The cottage was exceptionally clean and value for money - nothing stuffy or "untouchable".

We had a really enjoyable stay in Bellingham. The location and close proximity to the shops and pubs was very welcome as the car was hidden under the snow and couldnt be moved. Lovely cosy cottage, great butchers and bakers and walks close by for our dogs.

The cottage was not very comfortable; was definitely not suitable for our dogs which caused us a lot of stress. The living area downstairs was very dark and dreary. The television was ridiculously big!! Parking was not easy. the lack of garden was disappointing as the picture in the brochure suggested we would have an outside area to make use of, but in fact it belonged to the neighbours. Definitely will not go back.
