I spoke with Simon Seaton of Fridays Property Solicitors and immediately the team were in action on my case. All relevant paperwork was put together again at great speed. I was extremely pleased with service I received and from the help of Tony Lillystone who saw everything through to conclusion. 1.0 out of 5 | My house buying was due to complete on 15/01/2010. I paid deposit amount for exchange of contract. Wolstenholmes made the deal but didn't pay the money to seller. The buying price was £181k including stamp duty but they didn't put that stamp duty inclusive clause along with no checks on building conversions with the local authority. I have to buy this property with this risks & loss. Not sure how to get back that those loss. Please help me.

1.3 out of 5 | Carl Horstman was wondful. Hope he finds a godo job in Liverpool - despite all this gloom which I lost my new apartment over, he is well worth employing. Before being allocated him it was a nightmare. Sadly I did not think they were going down and so lost money and my new property over this. 1.0 out of 5 | I paid £450 on Dec 1st for WOSLTENHOLMES to proceed with my conveyancing. Since that day i have been unable to contact anyone and they have not contacted me. I have learned that they are no longer in business (they are the subject of an Intervention) If anyone has uncompleted business with this company you should do as I have done and contact The Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA), the number is on their website. Apparently they went into Wolsenholmes on Dec 24th and removed all files, which they are currently in the process of reviewing. 1.0 out of 5 | I instructed for transfer of equity in June, i paid fees in front after that no contact. lie after lie, after lie within days of my instruction solicitor walked out, I was then assigned onother solicitor but i wasn't informed. when ever i make call they couldn't find my detail on thier system. no telephone logging.no answer to emails and telephone calls, I tried to call from different numbers but even this didn't work. I phoned to most of all offices left messages which they did not return. Sharon Kelly who was Head of Conveyancing explained in October my case was ready to complete. 1.0 out of 5 | First of all it is dissapointing that the Law Society who was suppose to regulate this lot allowed them to continue to trade for as long as they have done.
I instructed this lot in July, lie after lie, after lie within days of my instruction Anthony Danvers walked out, I was then assigned Sonja Barnett I know not whether she is a solicitor or not Wolstenholmes says she is but the Law Society can find no record of her, my paperwork was lost but my money had been banked. Countless complaints later, unanswered emails and telephone calls I too had to call from different numbers but even this didn't work. I emailed Helen Murgatroyd the complaints manager left messages which she did not reurn. Sharon Kelly who was Head of Conveyancing explained in October my case was ready to complete. It is now 20 December I am £42k lighter with no exchange of contracts, no one is answering my calls or responding to my emails, my mortgage offer expires at the end of the month as well as the stamp duty holiday, these lot should be arrested and locked up for fraud. Not only have they ruined my Christmas they have also ruined alot of other peoples. I will be lobbying both government and the Law Society on their ineptness in dealing with this firm. I am unable to trace my £42k or anyone associated with this firm. 1.0 out of 5 | I am looking for an answer I have gone through wolstenholmes solicitor for purchse of my property, My contract has been exchanged for completion on monday 21/12/09 now I have been told birmingham office is closed and my file for completion has been moved to hearld green. Number for them they are not answering phone, now number just comes busy. There genreal inquiry number comes unobtainable.
I don't know what to do I have paid all the money for completion for monday I don't know will it happen or not.
