4.3 out of 5 | I found this company by looking up "Computer Repair" on ThomWeb when I experienced a total shutdown of my laptop through a really nasty virus. I then somehow managed to disconnect myself from my wireless network so was quite desperate when I spoke with Lawrence. Having seen that he is located literally at the top of my road I called him first. I called on a Sunday and he was happy to speak with me despite it being a weekend, and he agreed a very fair price with me on the phone. He collected my laptop the next day and kept me informed of his progress and returned it 2 days later, all traces of the virus gone and all drivers/programs re-installed. He then quickly sorted out my wireless network, and even loaned me a power cable when I discovered my PC had been returned from the repair shop minus its own cable.
Definitely a rarity in today's society of cowboy rip-off merchants and ignorant teenagers waffling on at you without actually sorting the problem, Lawrence and his services are a true find and I have already recommended him to several people.
I hope not to have too many more computer disasters in the future but if it does happen, I would now contact Lawrence immediately to ask for advice and if necessary to have him carry out any work required.
He is friendly, polite, very knowledgeable in his field, and respectful of his customers. Can't really ask for more. m james - 16 Jul 2008 |

This has included coming to my rescue when servers have crashed during VAT reporting season. I also would say that his IT support has enabled me to develop more efficient working practises. He has come up with cost effective solutions to issues that I have raised. 5.0 out of 5 | The first time I called Westbourne Computer Services out I was in nothing short of a crisis. I had a feeling that the nothing short of a rebuild was required and indeed that was the case, however what I had asked to be done could simply have been done alone and fixed up but I was correctly as assumed advised that would be a waste of money as eventually the machine would need rebuilding. Not only did they immediately take my computer away and rebuild it (and removed every file on there, scanned them all on a different computer and removed any viruses) but it was back to me that same day. The service was exceptional and friendly and HONEST (there is no blinding with science!). Not only did I receive that excellent rebuild and service (all for under £100) but the repair guy checked my home installation, told me why i had got so many viruses due to being exposed by Virgin (something Virgin fail to tell you when they give you the connection), and even recommended what wireless router would be best value for money. I brought the router when the machine was being rebuilt and when it was returned the engineer even installed the new router for me in about 5 mins (which would've taken me a lot longer).
