out of 5 | I had my car put through the "Delux Wash" on Sunday only to find Concentric circles of scratches on my boot. I had hoped this was wax or someother product and would wipe off. However much to my disgust this is actual scratches. The fact my car is less than 2 weeks old you can see why I am angry. Trading standards have been contacted and small claims court is on the cards. You can expect my solicitor will be in touch. |
out of 5 | Left my car with Wash and Shine for a mini valet and when I came to collect my car I put her into reverse and the parking sensors wouldn't stop shrieking. I got out and checked the rear of the car to find a hole in the rear bumper where one of the reverse park sensors should be. Further inspection revealed it had been broken off it's mounting and pushed inside of the rear bumper leaving a hole. Damage was certainly not present when I reversed off my drive to come straight to Wash and Shine so must have been done by accident during the valet. When I politely pointed out the damage I was told to call the manager when he was back in the following day. They wouldn't even refund the cost of the valet despite the obvious damage and said I would have to speak to the manager. A call to the manager the next day was met with apathy. He told me there was no way it could have been caused by Wash and Shine and tried to tell me it must have been like that when I arrived or that someone must have kicked the rear bumper whilst the car had been parked up after the valet! What rubbish! Said he had checked the camera footage which confirmed that none of his valeters had caused any damage. When i called him back to inform him I would come to inspect the footage, he replied that it wouldn't show anything as none of the cameras had a view of the rear of my car. How precisely did examination of the video footage show to him that the damage wasn't caused by his team then if none provided a view of the rear of my car?! Flat refused to take liability or cover the cost of repair which is now coming out of my pocket as I have had to book the car in with my local garage to remove the entire rear bumper, retrieve the sensor module and then refit. What a joke - no customer service, and more importantly, no integrity. |
out of 5 | Overall the experience was pleasant. I own a 4 wheel driver and i used use of automatic washes to keep it in a clean state, until i realise that hand wash is the best way to go to avoid scratches. I regularly go to washandshine to get my Mini-Valet and polish, and i always enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the company of the people who worked there. They also have a laptop with free wifi for customer to use, which is always nice while ur waiting! |
