We recently contacted Gav at Walking the Dog as we needed a last minute dog walker for while we were at a family wedding. Gav was friendly and professional and met with us the next day and arranged to take our Staffy out for a long walk at a time that suited us. Saffy really enjoyed her long walk (which had to be alone as she is anxious around other dogs) and Gav took some lovely photos too. We would definitely recommend and use again, especially as we have had some trouble finding other dog walkers/boarders who will look after Staffies. Thanks Gav!
My dog Jac loves going out for walks with Gavin and socialising with the other dogs, he always seems very happy after his walks. I work shifts and having someone you can trust to look after your dog is great! Its also very convenient having him picked up and dropped off back at my home and he's always clean when he comes back. Being able to look at the pictures of him enjoying himself is good too.
Gavin has been an absolute life saver when I had a knee operation and was unable to walk our Siberian Husky, Akira, during the day. The service is very professional - Gavin takes such care to bring home a clean dog and even changes shoes at the door so as to not trek mud in the house! He is also very flexible in terms of additional walks at short notice.
Akira clearly adores Gavin and on my return to work it has given me peace of mind to know that I can focus on work knowing Akira is well looked after.
We have also recently booked Akira in to board with Gavin for short periods, again enabling us to relax knowing that Akira is really well looked after. Outstanding overall - takes some excellent pictures of him too!
We didn't want to put our dog in kennels so opted for the home boarding offered by Boarding the dog. It is a fantastic professional service. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Our dog stayed with Helen , she was brilliant , very kind and approachable. We were even given a diary of what our dog had been up to while we were away , (I will be keeping it as it was so amusing.. The day in the life of.. )We have already booked again with Helen, who once again was very accommodating We can go away with the knowledge that our little dog will be very well looked after.
Would recommend Walking The Dog to anyone who needs a caring, friendly and reliable service. Nothing is to much trouble and we know our dog, Molly, loves her walks.
When looking for dog care I reviewed lots of services, came across walking the dog and so pleased I did. What an amazing, professional, caring and fantastic service Gavin and his team offer. Gavin goes above and beyond of what is expected. Gavin is supportive and has wealth of knowledge that he will share with you and your pet. Gavin has also boarded Connie who had never been away from home unless with family. Now Connie holidays with Gavin and his family every year, I do not have to worry about her as I know she is in great hands and is loved and cared for as much as she is at home. We only use Walking the dog on an ad-hoc basis but they have always been efficient and have always fulfilled our needs, Riley the springer highly recommends them so we follow his advice.
I was a bit dubious about allowing a stranger to walk our dog (Billy) initially, but the Walking the Dog service has been amazing. From a human point of view I have complete peace of mind knowing that Billy will be collected and walked on a regular basis, Gav and the team are friendly and professional and really do care about Billy. From a canine point of view, Billy loves the service - he never spends more than a few hours home alone, gets a good walk every day, socialises with a group of other dogs and just has great fun. He is happy and exhausted when he gets back from his walks (and often a bit muddy too) and even goes willingly when I am working from home to prove he loves his doggy friends more than me!
I use the services of Walking the Dog to provide day care for my golden retriever, who is collected from and delivered back home, tired and happy after being well exercised and having had fun playing with other dogs. I like the fact that photographs and sometimes videos of the dogs are posted, from which it's clear what a great time they are having. Bentley is always keen to go when picked up and that speaks volumes! In my opinion, Walking the Dog is a professionally run and very caring company. Highly recommended.
"Walking The Dog" are just THE best pet service. Our beautiful Lab Monty loves his walks with the staff of this company. They are always on time, totally trustworthy with house keys etc, and always ensure that Monty has a great walk with his doggy friends. they always make sure Monty has water and is happy and settled before they leave. They are very flexible with days, times so whatever your needs, they can generally accomodate! The service is second to none! "Walking the Dog" make us feel that our pet is safe, cared for and well looked after when we are out at work. I really can't speak more highly of them. They enhance our pets life and if he is happy -we are too!!!!'.
