Vicki Gausden Illustration - ArtistVicki Gausden Illustration is a freelance illustrator and hand lettering artist based in Edinburgh with a BA (Hons) degree in visual communication specialising in illustration from Edinburgh College of Art. Vicki Gausden Illustration has a bold, quirky and humorous style. Hand lettered text is produced in various styles according to the needs of the client. Images can be produced for web and for print; initial artwork is hand drawn using traditional dipping pen and ink. Images are then scanned and coloured digitally.
Vicki Gausden Illustration is an experienced user of Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Previous clients include Random House, Storlann, Penguin, ChambersHarrap and Maximillion. Previous mediums include publishing, web design, logo, promotional items and framed prints. Currently working on a book due to be published by Luath Press in October 2006 called 'Dae Ye Ken?'- an illustrated selection of Scottish words that will be available from all good bookstores. Work can also be seen on the cover of 'The Hour' by Michael Hutchinson and 'Nul Points' by Tim Moore.
Vicki Gausden is returning to Edinburgh College of Art to study for Master of Design degree, she has been awarded the Andrew Grant Bequest. She will continue to be available for commission throughout this period. All enquiries welcomed.
