Urban Young Actors - Drama SchoolBased in Thurmaston (Leicester), Urban Young Actors is an exciting new drama workshop offering weekly sessions to talented young kids in Leicester. The group is entry on audition only and ran by an experienced television / theatre actress. Anyone between the ages of 8 and 16 may apply for an audition. Previous experience is not always necessary. UYA has already been featured on Leicester Sound, Takeover radio and in the Leicester Mercury. The group is very reasonably priced so that it is accessible to all children. The next auditions are on 1st June 2008.
Successful applicants will attend a 2 hour drama workshop every Saturday at the Drama studio
of Roundhill Community College, Melton Road, Thurmaston, Leicester.
There will be opportunities for the children to work on different aspects of drama and
performance in a supportive group environment. UYA have very close links with sister group
'Inspire Academy' in Nottingham and will work with them at various points in the year.
Urban Young Actors is already being recognised as one of the midlands leading drama workshops and it is due to extremely high demand that they are having to set up another group.
