Established in 1985, the organisation is based in Malaysia, now operates in London as well.
UK Self Defense (Silat Harimau) provides individuals and small groups with an expert personalised self defense courses and operates from Gladstone Park (NW2). The experienced personal instructors ensure its students gain high fitness level, self confidence and effectiveness in handling violent or aggressive situations. Self defense classes are suitable for both men and women, adults and children of all ages (3-100plus).
UK Self Defense offers unique Self Defense DVDs that are recorded in Malaysia and feature its own instructors. Self Defense DVDs feature many simple combinations of techniques, making them effective for real combat, and they are available from the website at a reasonable price.
With a team that includes 3 experienced instructors (currently based in London and Bury St. Edmunds), UK Self Defense has a professional team, trained in Malay Martial Arts Silat Harimau, Vietnamese Martial Arts Vo Quyen, Chinese Chan Shaolin Si Ju Su, special forces, since 1985. UK Self Defense has a small group of customers, situated in and around London as well as in Vietnam, Malaysia and Philippines, including enthusiastic individual clients, several bodyguards and close protection officers, security guards, private and commercial guarded escorts, fitness freaks, women and men who feel insecure and more. The organisation is run by Artur Hejnowski who has been involved in the Martial Arts and Self Defence business for 17 years. Having previously studied at Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Philippines and Poland, he is successfully running UK Self Defense (Silat Harimau).
UK Self Defense is affiliated with Malay Silat Harimau, Vietnamese Vo Quyen, Chinese Chan Shaolin Si Ju Su, special forces units from several countries (Malaysia, Poland, UK).
