Taking its name from the Japanese word for 'home' and 'family', the uchi Clothing Co creates timeless designs on quality urban garments. uchi is inspired by urban environments, some classic tracks (and some not so classic), a little Japanese culture and positive meanings. Its mission is to reflect the artforms and artistry with passion and integrity; to continuously evolve the culture and to uphold the original Hip Hop philosophies of peace, unity, love and having fun.

uchi prides itself in the quality of all the prints and so all designs are screen printed by hand in small runs. This allows for experimentation with printing technique and colour variations ensuring no two print runs are identical. Customers may even be lucky enough to receive a unique one-off print.

A great deal of time and thought goes into creating timeless designs that'll still look good long after fashions change. Like the old school tune that still sounds good today, the collections are albums with each design a classic track that always gets played. It may eventually get one or two scratches on it but that'll be because it's been played too much.

To compliment its clothing range, uchi has showcases its limited edition urban art prints.

uchi's roots are in typography and print as well as Hip Hop culture. As a result the company has a well established graphic design, web design and multilingual-typesetting service as well as a new type design studio and is constantly seeking new outlets and partners to share in its passion for typography, print and urban art.
