The Wheatcroft provides the perfect breakfast choice to start the day and a pre packed lunch can be ordered if required for the next days outing. The twin and double rooms come with en suite bathrooms and a further double has a private full bathroom.

The Wheatcroft, awarded 4 stars by Enjoy England, is owned by Alan and Jan who aim to provide a friendly, clean and happy environment from which to explore this beautiful part of the country. The Wheatcroft does not accept pets and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

Our stay at the Wheatcroft exceeded all our expectations. There was such a friendly atmospher, the room was spotless and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. The owners went out of their way to help us providing us with extra local information which was so helpfull. I cannot think of a single fault and would recommend the Wheatcroft to anyone needing accomodation in the area.

Superb accomodation and food - even provided packed lunches! Shared local knowledge on where to visit, what we could see and good places to eat, even giving us discount vouchers for eating out in local pubs. Very helpful...very friendly; treated almost like a favourite relation. We highly recommend The Wheatcroft.

Location perfect for local attraction visits. Room was really clean, good size, endless free beverage in room, nice outlook, freeview tele. En-suite modern and spotless. Great choice of breakfast and requests met with a smile. Hosts were really welcoming and friendly (without intruding) and really helpful on local places to visit and eat (including money off deals). No hesitation to stay again.

We visited as a family (four brothers (plus one wife) and our sister which meant we took all four rooms.

Alan and Jan went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and homely as they could. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and served.

We stayed for three nights and would recommend this B&B to anyone staying in the area.

The management were far more welcoming and friendly than a hotel or standard B & B. The venue was of an exceptional high standard for comfort and relaxation. The many finishing touches coupled with the good quality and quantity of choice for breakfast, make the Wheatcroft more than a 4 star rating. Extremely friendly hosts.
