The Rolling Roots Revue - Musical Theatre CompanyThe Rolling Roots Revue is a new Merseyside based touring production set up in response to the current resurgent interest in musical genres such as early blues, skiffle, folk and country music.
Part narrated, by ex-Spinner, Hughie Jones, 'Tracing the Roots, 'is a 2 hour show which celebrates the history of popular music, past and present on both sides of The Atlantic. From the early days of The Carter Family, through the Dustbowl Era to Chicago Blues and modern day contemporary songwriters.
The show is ideally suited to arts centre, small theatre and village hall type venues. Members of the core company are also experienced in delivering music workshops and school education projects. It employs professional actors and musicians, but also welcomes and actively encourages new talent who would like to be featured.
