We paid £20 a head for two courses and some entertainment last night and it was totally not worth it! I wouldn't have paid a fiver for what we had. They changed the menu to a load of stuff we didn't order when the menu was supposed to have been a la carte. We ordered roast chicken with cream cheese and chives and an array of seasoned vegetables but what we got was chicken on the bone, no seasoning and a watered down sweet and sour sauce slapped all over it. I could have cooked better myself. Oh, and that not the best of it- the desserts (which all sound delicious on the website) were swapped for a disgusting tutti fruitti cake which was cheap and nasty tasting.
Why ask your customers what they want to eat and then feed them whatever you have got left in the under-stocked kitchen? Drinks were a travesty as well- £4.50 for a small and very cheap tasting glass of wine! Staff were shocking- didn't care about the customer experience at all, took forever to clear plates and did not take complaints seriously.
I will say that the UB40 tribute act, with Del was fantastic but I think I would prefer to see him in a different setting.
