With 16 years of experience in providing art history lectures, The Course offers lecture programmes, visits and walks. Established in 1994, The Course is situated in Mayfair, at 1 Berkeley Street, London W1J 8DJ.
The Course provides a range of lectures, courses, visits and walks that enrich and challenge the understanding of the visual arts in a new way. They are suitable for all to enjoy. They enable those with prior knowledge to take a fresh look at the arts while offering the beginner something more substantial than a standard history of styles. The courses take a fresh and innovative approach and encourage lively debate and discussions. Small, informal and friendly groups create the opportunity to socialise and exchange ideas with like-minded people who share the same interest and enthusiasm for the visual arts. The lectures take place at 1 Berkeley Street, London W1J 8DJ.
All the lectures are taught by well-known, well qualified lecturers who use high quality teaching materials including slides, digital images, video and music.

They were well run and no attention to detailed was spared. The trips themselves were fascinating, with hugely qualified and erudite lecturers. I learned a large amount and it is knowledge I treasure to this day. I also very much enjoyed meeting the other students. There was a lovely mixture of people.
