With 20 years experience of dog training and behaviour, Talking Dogs Ltd is friendly, positive business offering pet dog training and behaviour services to clients throughout the local area. Founded in 2003, the business is located in Peterborough. Puppy and adult training courses are held in Werrington and Yaxley. Behavioural consultations and private training sessions are held at clients' homes.

Dog training courses consist of 5 one hour classes and host a maximum of 8 puppies or dogs per course. The course includes a full support pack which consists of a 2kg bag of quality dog food, a training treat pouch, a clicker and most importantly the course manual. These welcoming, inclusive courses aim to give dog owners an understanding of how and why to train their dogs in the everyday skills that will help them become wonderful pets.

For dogs that are afraid or unsociable with other dogs, and for owners who prefer to work on a one-to-one basis private in-home training is a great option. This allows for greater flexibility and more emphasis on client specific exercises, such as recall with distractions and mannerly greetings at the front door. For dogs with behavioural issues, in-home consultations cover health, diet, daily routines and relationships, and culminate in personal behaviour modification programmes for client and dog.

Pam Mackinnon BA DipCABT OCN is an experienced training and behaviour consultant. She has worked in a large variety of canine professions. These include working as a drug detector dog handler with HM Customs, a hearing dog trainer and the behaviourist for Wood Green Animal Shelters. Pam also runs workshops and staff training sessions for pet owners and fellow professionals. She specialises in working with animal shelter staff throughout the UK including RSPCA, NAWT and independent shelters. Pam is a member of both the British and American Associations of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). She is also a practitioner member of the COAPE Association of Companion Animal Behaviour Practitioners and Affiliates, with whom she has tutored and written courses. Pam carries full insurance. The company is managed by Pam Mackinnon who has been involved in the Dog Training business for over twenty years. Having previously worked for a variety of organisations including HM Customs and Excise, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and Wood Green Animal Shelters, Pam Mackinnon is more than able to run the company.

Talking Dogs Ltd has a large and ever expanding network of clients based throughout the UK. This includes hundreds of private clients in addition to the RSPCA, Blue Cross, Worcester Animal Rescue, Friends of Animals League, Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue, Peterborough District Council, Huntingdon District Council and Hills Pet Nutrition.
