5.0 out of 5 | WOW!!! The food here is fantastic. I have been going to Taara after work with my co-workers and we have always come out with a smile on our faces. Their service and food is exceptional. The waiters are very prompt and service moves along swiftly. I have been to restaurants were I've had to wait for ages for someone to take the plates and bring our desserts, but at Taara the food comes quickly and the waiters know what they're talking about when you ask them about the dishes. I have almost tried all of the chef's specials and can't decide which one i like most. (I think I like all of them because there all so different) Taara's dishes are very creative and delicious. I would recommend others to try their menu. I've already booked tables for a few events coming up with friends and family. I truly enjoyed my meals there and will go back for more.Julie Sanders reviewed Taara Indian Cuisine on 13 Jun 2009 |
5.0 out of 5 | Absolutely delicious cusine in a warm, friendly, welcoming new restaurant - 10 out of 10! Would recommend to every one!
I heard about this new restaurant in last week’s edition of the News Shopper and being a massive fan of Indian cuisine thought I had to try it. I decided to pop into taara on the first day of their "Mouth watering, all you can eat buffet for £5.95" on Sunday. My girlfriend and I have never been fans of the all you can eat style restaurants thinking that, well, what you pay is what you get. How wrong we both were!!!
Upon arriving, we received a very warm, genuine welcome and were seated. Drink orders were taken swiftly, as well as being asked if we would like any popadoms - which arrived within minutes and were beautiful - not greasy or oily like some Indian restaurants you may visit. We were then told to help ourselves to the buffet whenever we were ready and that if there was anything else we would like, just to let one of the waiters know and they would arrange it.
Starters on offer were; Chicken Tikka, Onion Bhaji, Lamb Somosa accompanied with salad. All of these were fresh and delicious, especially the Chicken Tikka! Veg Side Dishes; Bombay Aloo, Sag Aloo and one other which escapes me to be honest - being a MASSIVE fan of Bombay Aloo, and having tried them in many restaurants/takeaways etc I can honestly say that the Bombay aloo at Taara, was THE nicest I have ever tasted. Every mouthful was like a bite of heaven! Honestly!!! :)
Mains - by now, after all the extra servings of Bombay aloo and chicken tikka, I was starting to fill satisfyingly full :) Chicken Tikka, a lamb dish and a vegetarian dish were on offer - whilst we were getting mains one of the waiters asked us if we wanted any Naan bread to which we selected Keema Naan - again, amazingly delicate in taste and flavour - the curries, of which I tried them all, were truly delicious.
Both myself and my girlfriend were talking about how nice the food was right through the evening. I never write reviews like this, but after such a nice meal, I felt I had to after such an amazing experience! I will DEFINATELY be going back here again of a week night to try the Chef's Specials and experience more amazing cuisine at this lovely restaurant.
11 out of 10 on everything - no faults!!

4.3 out of 5 | These guys know what they're doing. The food is second to none and the service is hugely impressively compared to all others as it seems the waiters know the food so well you'd be forgiven for believing they cooked it themselves. Very "posh" and they make you fell very welcomedDaniel Archer reviewed Taara Indian Cuisine on 11 Apr 2009 |
