Stuart Thomas, an experienced Ecological Consultant runs a small organisation, offering ecological surveys and advice to a wide variety of clients for on and offshore developments throughout the UK. The organisation, which is based in Pant (Oswestry), was established in 2004 and has four years experience in the Ecological Consulting sector with a further seven managing and working on National Nature Reserves across the UK.

Helping clients to plan and mitigate for wildlife for their projects, the company provides developers and larger consultancies with experienced survey capabilities. With significant experience, knowledge and a range of experienced associates, most species can be surveyed, mitigated and compensated for.

Stuart Thomas has an expanding client base, located across the UK. Clients have included: Entec UK Ltd, ESS Ltd, ERM Ltd, West Coast Energy Ltd, Ecotech, Michael Gavaghan, JNCC, Hull University's Institute of Estuarine and Coastal Studies, Rural Resources and Resources for Change amongst others. The consultancy is run by Stuart Thomas who has worked within the ecological and wildlife management sphere since 1996. His previous roles include habitat management work for Shrewsbury Borough Council, bird survey work for the RSPB as well as three years as warden on the Farne Islands NNR, Site Manager for Scottish Natural Heritage on Noss NNR and Site Manager for on the Ayres NNR for the Manx Wildlife Trust. He also worked for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Alaska.

Services include:

Ornithological work, reptile and amphibian survey and mitigation, bat detection surveys, land mammal surveys including badgers. Work can be carried out both on and offshore and marine mammal observer work is also catered for. Stuart can call on a number of associates to carry out work on his behalf or directly to the client.
