Stray Aid Ltd is a registered charity and is considered to be an organisation leading the way in dog re homing services to the North East of England and facilitating the County Council by operating as a Durham County Dog Pound. The organisation, which is located in Coxhoe (Durham), was set-up in october 2006 and has 4 years of experience in the Not for Profit dog re homing business. Stray Aid is proud to advertise the impact made in saving dogs lives whithin the region, since October 2006 Stray Aid have re homed in excess of 2800 dogs and are still improving year on year.
The Re homing Centre provides the people of County Durham with a tailored and professional experience and has a Veterinary Treatment Centre on site. The expert staff help owners where possible to find their lost pets. The service is designed to minimise the stress of owners and pets and re unite as many as possible at every opportunity.
The organisation is managed by a group of dedicated professionals who are operating within the Not for Profit business because they care about reducing the lost and abandoned dogs being put to sleep and make every effort to re unite owners and dogs. Having previously worked for various private companies and other organisations, the management team are adequately trained to oversee the organisation.
Stray Aid Ltd has a growing network of volunteers, situated around Durham, and is also improving exposure and credibility by developing company sponsorship.
