With 5 years experience in the Horse Riding market, the Southside Ride has been developed into a versatile facility, offering an environment suitable for training young horses, exercising horses for competition or just enjoying a hack in the beautiful countryside to riders and horse drivers throughout the local area. A 6 meter wide maintained grass track provides a great surface for fittening with more than 30 optional cross country jumps over 13 kilometers providing fun for riders and horses of all levels. Established in 2004, the Southside Ride is located in only 5 miles from Inverurie.

The Southside Ride welcomes a wide range of proffesional and amateur riders and drivers from those training for eventing and endurance to nervous hackers or young horses. Clients looking for the opportunity to interval train for timed sections of Endurance Riding, Eventing or Le Trec make use of the kilometer marked sections of the track. Young horses have been introduced to the concept of steeplechase using the 6 brush fences set out over approx 1km section. Novice riders make the most of the smaller 6' jumps while the more experienced use the 3'6 obstacles. The Southside Ride provides all its riders / drivers and their horses with a vehicle and gate free off road experience and has ample parking for lorries and trailers complete with a seating area where help yourself tea and coffee are provided. There are facilities to wash off your horse, warm up and cool down. The family team help clients with directions and advice on using the facility including navigating the track, location of the optional cross country jumps farming activities and wildlife to be seen en route. The Southside Ride is intended to provide relaxing and enjoyable every time.
