With many years experience within the music industry, Soundscape Studios is a dynamic company that provides Recording, mixing, mastering, music production and Training to customers throughout the UK. Established in 1987, the company is based in Shropshire.

Based in the heart of Shrewsbury, Shropshire Soundscape Studios is equally professional in appearance and service provision. The studio is designed to cater for both the professional; requiring a facility within which to achieve high quality recordings, and to the beginner; providing a safe and supportive learning environment in which.

The Studio

For bands and artists wishing to record in a high quality environment, Soundscape has a professional recording studio for hire. The equipment available in the studio is industry standard audio technology and experienced engineers are on hand to assist and advice on every aspect of the recording process.

Soundscape has operated as a music studio for over 20 years, and during that time, many local bands have used the out-standing recording facilities. These currently consist of: • The main studio running a high-powered Digital Audio Workstation, mixing through a Professional Desk, with JBL monitors. There are also numerous live instruments, sound modules, keyboards, and outboard and plug-in effects available for use. Finished projects can be mastered onto whichever recording format is required, such as DAT, ADAT or CD.

• A range of high quality condenser microphone, plus many standard microphones.

• Ten other Digital Audio Workstations permanently set up.

Education

During the past 6 years, numerous local schools and agencies have commissioned Soundscape to organise and run projects with young people. Typically, a project will begin by teaching the use of musical computer software, live recording, and DJ skills. Then depending on the group’s interests will go on to focus on activities such as making a music video or recording a radio show. At the end of every course, the students are presented with a certificate and a CD of their work to keep.

Each project is designed to boost the student’s confidence in their own abilities by developing.
