The company is owned and managed by Tom Elliott and Phil Trelease who have been working in the Solar Energy industry for several years. In addition the company is a Panasonic Premium Installers and a Fronius Service Partner.
I contacted Solar Peak after seeing them install a Solar PV array on a neighbouring property. I was very impressed with how that installation was carried out, so much so I did not bother to contact any other company. The initial survey by Phil Trelease hi-lighted a problem with our chimney which I had not even thought about. Phil discussed all our options and answered all our questions in an honest and straight forward manner . My wife and I decided that we would have a split system and to maximise output from the panels we would lower our chimney too partially eliminate the shadow it would cast over the panels. Solar Peak organised absolutely everything, from the scaffolding sub –contractor to the builder that carried out the modification to our chimney. The work started and finished exactly in the planned time scale, by a very safe, efficient, tidy and courteous team - the scaffolders, builder and the Solar Peak Installation team. To date the installed panels are exceeding the design projections that Phil initially gave in his survey. It was a pleasure to deal with such a genuine , Professional and honest local company, and I would ( and have ) recommend Solar Peak to anyone considering having solar panels installed.
We liked Solar Peak because they are a local company that have their own install team and are not tied to a particular equipment manufacturer. Phil's sales pitch was BS free unlike some of the other salesmen we saw. He answered my probing technical questions in a detailed fashion so he knew the solar systems he was selling.
Solar Peak kept us informed at each stage of the installation and gave us a very reasonable quote for an extra supply cable we asked them to install for us at the same time. The installers were friendly, fastidious and very neat. For example, I put some dust sheets down while they were working up the loft and at the end of the day, they took them outside, shook out the dust and folded them up nicely. I was shocked! It was a small thing but it kind of restores your faith in tradesmen who usually seem to leave a trail of mess behind them. The system has been working well since installation, just wish the sun would show it's face more often.
Solar Peak installed solar pv panels on our new roof. We choose Solar Peak as they had in-depth knowledge and were happy to answer as many questions as we could fire at them! We wanted panels that would not stand out too much from the new roof and were prepared to pay a little extra for panels that would provide as much electricity as possible on days that weren't that sunny. We've had the panels up for 9 months and the panels' performance, so far, is on track to match their prediction. We found the Solar Peak team to be friendly, reliable and trustworthy.
Solar Peak made every effort to make sure that the instillation of solar panels was carried out efficiently. We felt that the first survey was a good indication of how the company treated it's customers because of its transparency. All the paperwork was completed quickly and efficiently. The workmen worked hard during one of the few really hot weeks we had last year. They were quiet, tidy and speedy. Their work was thoroughly supervised by the electrician. All the people who work for the company were very pleasant and approachable. We have recommended Solar peak to other people.
The installation was done to good engineering and electrical standard. I was kept informed of progress and problems. My requirerments were meet when possible and the site left clean when finished. Good value and completed by a friendly team.

From quotation through to commissioning the team were excellent in all aspects. The person who provided the inital quotation followed the job through to completion.
Our 3.9Kw. Array was installed and commissioned in early December 2011. Solar Peak was one of 4 firms we approached initially. We chose tham on the basis of their professionalism and absence of any 'hard sell'. The 2 quotations received from them were detailed and informative. Helpful guidance was given to choose the most appropriate scheme. The 2 directors were knowledgeable and also helpful in resolving the structural problems encountered with our roof (which had not been noticed by the other firms. ). Their staff and the scaffolding contractors were courteous and friendly. The installation was completed on schedule and it has exceeded the estimated output so far.
I found the team from solar peak to be profesional and friendly. The workmanship was very good and i am very pleased with the installation.The solar panels were installed without any problems and i would recommend this company to any others seeking this kind of instalation
