Called Solan and they met me at the showroom. Mike there gave me loads of free advice on how to set up a tanning salon and knew more about the electrical wiring for my shop than my electrician! He seemed to have all the time in the world to help out without trying to sell me anything. I wanted to rent 2 sunshowers but ended up buying them for £2300 each so I didnt have to pay the installation fee. I could tell that he was an engineer and not a salesman. The beds were delivered on time and look really nice considering I paid about a third of the new price. No negative points really, I would have to nit pick to find any complaints. The guy Nick that fitted it was courteous and took time to explain how to use the showers wen they were set up. The Tan Shop, Manchester
|I found Solan Sunbeds by searching on Google and rang them to ask about renting sunbeds for my new salon. They were very knowledgeable and helpful, without any pushy sales patter.|
After visiting the showroom I eventually rented 3 sunbeds, 2 Hapro Lumina laydown sunbeds and an Aurora 60 tube stand up. I thought £250 installation fee per sunbed was a bit steep at first, but when the sunbeds were delivered it took a whole day for 2 men to install each sunbed.
£39 per week rent per sunbed is a bargain, I take more than that per day on each bed! I rang them after 4 weeks as one of my tubes went out and they came out the next day to replace it (It was a starter, not the tube!)
I am thinking of buying the beds by increasing my payments by £10 per week to £49 per week over 2 years. Surprisingly about a third of my customers are blokes!
On the not so good side, the showroom was sort of half workshop with people working on various sunbeds, but the boss said they had not had it open long, and it would be finished in 4 weeks. Also not all beds on their website were available at the showroom, but he said the stock changes very quickly.
All in all a great service, you can tell they value customer satisfaction because when I rang in and complained about disturbance to my existing customers when they were fitting the sunbeds, the boss gave me a free weeks rental.

My friend & I wanted to rent sunbeds for our salon in Liverpool.
They responded very quickly by phone, and gave me lots of advice on how to
set up the salon.
We avoided 2 or 3 pitfalls by speaking to them before opening.
A guy called Mike explained to me quite a few options available, including
Rent, Rent to buy, and outright purchase.
Eventually we hired 2 sunbeds and one vertical for £39 per week each, and we
have the option to buy them at anytime for a fixed price, which we intend to
do very soon.
On the downside, they did not have the vertical model that I originally
wanted in stock, even though it was advertised on their website.
Also we had to upgrade our existing wiring and fuses supplying our older
sunbeds as they said that it was not sufficient to supply their own more
All in all a great company to deal with and I have already recommended them
to my aunty who owns a hair salon in Crosby
