Based in Kent, SMARTassMusic is an established business offering music production and arranging to clients throughout the UK, Europe and USA. SMARTassMusic was formed by James Treweek after constant frustration with the standard of written music encountered by working musicians. After gaining a degree in Music he taught Jazz piano at Middlesex University for a further 7 years. James has played with artists as varied as London Musici, Alan Barnes, Jim Mullen, Gerard Presencer, Derek Nash, Bobby Wellins, Mark Lockhart, Mick Hutton, Limahl, Grace Kennedy and Anita Wardell as well as being musical director for the 'Rat Pack' band at the Beckham's christening party with Elton John as support.
